Expanded access to digital skills is an important step in accelerating economic recovery, especially for the people hardest hit by job losses.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative, detailed on the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=2845228-1&amp;h=4075778096&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fblogs.microsoft.com%2F%3Fp%3D52559013&amp;a=Official+Microsoft+Blog\" rel=\"nofollow\">Official Microsoft Blog<\/a>,\u00a0includes immediate steps to help those looking to reskill and pursue an in-demand job and brings together every part of the company, combining existing and new resources from LinkedIn, GitHub and Microsoft. This includes:\u00a0 <\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>The use of data to identify in-demand jobs and the skills needed to fill them. \u00a0 <\/li>\n<li>Free access to learning paths and content to help people develop the skills these positions require. <\/li>\n<li>Low-cost certifications and free job-seeking tools to help people who develop these skills pursue new jobs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a comprehensive technology initiative that will build on data and digital technology. It starts with data on jobs and skills from the LinkedIn Economic Graph. It provides free access to content in LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft Learn and the GitHub Learning Lab, and couples those with Microsoft Certifications and LinkedIn job seeking tools. These resources can all be accessed at a central location,\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=2845228-1&amp;h=3449154927&amp;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.opportunity.linkedin.com%2F&amp;a=opportunity.linkedin.com\" rel=\"nofollow\">opportunity.linkedin.com<\/a>, and will be broadly available online in four languages: English, French, German and Spanish. <\/p>\n<p>In addition, Microsoft is backing the effort with <span class=\"xn-money\">$20 million<\/span> in cash grants to help nonprofit organizations worldwide assist the people who need it most. One-quarter of this total, or <span class=\"xn-money\">$5 million<\/span>, will be provided in cash grants to community-based nonprofit organizations that are led by and serve communities of color in <span class=\"xn-location\">the United States<\/span>.
