Our communities will suffer needlessly from a steep decline in the tax revenues we need to maintain now more than ever,&#8221; he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The company claims the decision to shutter the two facilities hinges on falling demand for the facilities&#8217; services and lower operational efficiencies as a result.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Bristow employees have long advocated for improvements that would leave our <span class=\"xn-location\">Louisiana<\/span> facilities more profitable, more efficient and better positioned to succeed in a rapidly changing market,&#8221; said <span class=\"xn-person\">George Evans<\/span>, president of OPEIU Local 407 mechanics. &#8220;We are calling on the company we have helped build to take a step back and realize what these jobs and tax revenues mean to our communities and to the employees who have helped make Bristow a successful company.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We can&#8217;t let our communities and our families bear the brunt of a decision based on a false choice.
