Commissioned by ScoreSense\u00ae and conducted by the research firm PeopleFish, the report also touches on the pandemic&#8217;s impact on family gatherings and business holiday parties. Indeed, two thirds of the 987 people surveyed for the research shared that they had to cancel plans to see family for the holidays this year. <\/p>\n<p>Key Findings <\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>67% of all consumers had to cancel plans to see family for the holidays this year. <\/li>\n<li>Half of consumers (including 60% of men and 63% of those in Gen Z) had other plans outside of family plans that were canceled. <\/li>\n<li>29% of businesses are still planning a holiday party, and 78% of consumers plan to attend those parties. Men and members of Gen X are most likely to attend. <\/li>\n<li>39% of all consumers, including 53% of Millennials and 45% of all men, work from home during the pandemic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p\/>\n<p>&#8220;We are all aware that COVID has had an effect on family travel this year, but the research is still a bit of an eye-opener,&#8221; said a spokesperson for ScoreSense. &#8220;The pandemic is really changing the way we live and celebrate or lives together as families.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the pandemic has changed travel plans to a dramatic extent. Plans are being changed due to age and other factors, accrued paid time off is increasing but is unable to be used, and people working remotely often have to use their PTO even when working from their travel destination.
