However, the Ford Motor Company has now added new designations for its certified pre-owned models \u2013 therefore creating Gold Certified Pre-Owned models and Blue Certified Pre-Owned models.<\/p>\n<p>The main differences between the two new Ford certified pre-owned model designations are the ages of the available models, the number of miles on the odometers of the models and the inspections that the models have to pass before being designated a Ford certified pre-owned model instead of a normal pre-owned model.<\/p>\n<p>More specifically, Gold Certified Pre-Owned Ford models must be less than 6 years old, have less than 80,000 miles and pass a thorough 172-point inspection. These Gold Certified Pre-Owned Ford models feature a comprehensive warranty and free 24\/7 roadside assistance.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Blue Certified Pre-Owned Ford models must be less than 10 years old, have less than 120,000 miles and pass a 139-point inspection.
