LOS ANGELES, Dec. 14, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — The latest research from Your Auto Advocate, a leading consumer car buying platform, found that shoppers are likely to find good car deals this holiday season if they focus on the right makes and models. An analysis of eleven metro areas found that in Chicago, you’re likely to get a better deal on an Audi, in Houston, car buyers should focus on Toyotas, and in Los Angeles, holiday shoppers will find BMWs to be the easiest to negotiate.

Your Auto Advocate analyzed over 1.68M vehicle listings in the eleven largest metro areas in the United States to identify the most negotiable new and used cars in each city. A car’s negotiability is determined by the available supply of each vehicle in the area, an industry metric referred to as market days supply, and the demand for the vehicle, as measured by the number of days that a given vehicle spends on a dealer’s lot before being sold. Consumers can use this information to identify the cars that dealers are most likely to make a deal on ahead of the 2020 holiday shopping season.

Top ten lists for each metro region:

«Buying a new car is stressful, and a big part of that comes from the negotiation process,» said Zach Shefska, co-founder and CEO of Your Auto Advocate, a Washington, DC-based company that helps consumers navigate the car buying process. «Knowledge is power. Negotiating the best deal is a lot less scary when you have the best information available,» Shefska continued. «Giving consumers more information can revolutionize the car business,» added Ray Shefska, Zach’s father, advisor to Your Auto Advocate and 43 year veteran of the car business.
