TROY, N.Y., Dec. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Passport, the end-to-end digital operating system that provides parking technology to Albany, Schenectady, and many other cities in New York, announces its partnership with the City of Troy. Passport’s mobile payment for parking application and digital permitting solution are now available in the City.

The free app, Passport Parking, is available for all metered on-street parking in the City’s Historic downtown area. The app provides a contactless payment option for motorists and allows users to safely extend and manage their parking sessions from anywhere. Users can also receive notifications when their sessions are about to expire and extend their sessions directly from their smartphones.

With these solutions in place, the City gains data insights about parking utilization in its Downtown area, aiding in future decisions on how to improve the parking experience.

LOUISVILLE, Colo., Dec. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Solid Power, an industry-leading developer of all solid-state batteries for electric vehicles, today announced that its Louisville, Colo. facility is producing 20 ampere hour (Ah) multi-layer all solid-state lithium metal batteries on the company’s continuous roll-to-roll production line.

The 330 Wh/kg, 22-layer cells have higher energy density than any commercially available lithium-ion battery manufactured today with a roadmap to surpass 400 Wh/kg by 2022. Solid Power’s truly all solid-state cells can be manufactured at commercial scale using industry standard lithium-ion roll-to-roll production equipment. The 20Ah cells are currently being produced to validate large-format cell production processes in partnership with its automotive partners. Solid Power anticipates entering the formal automotive qualification process in early 2022 with even larger capacity all solid-state battery cells.

In addition to the existing SC1701 series, Socionext provides low-cost, optimal safety functions for meter clusters. This lineup of «smart» display controllers delivers scalable in-vehicle remote display systems that achieve high levels of safety.

The new SC1702 is capable of transferring data at rates of up to 12 Gbps using the latest APIX^®3 technology. It is equipped with a newly developed Panel Interface Port (PIP) that supports the most advanced, high-resolution wide landscape format display such as 8K x 1K, which cannot be supported with conventional interfaces. In addition, the SC1702 was designed to conform to the latest encryption technology HDCP 2.3, making it possible to effectively utilize rich, 4K-resolution content for multi-displays and other uses in a vehicle.
