FRC Warns Biden Executive Order Targets People of Faith and Faith-Based Organizations

WASHINGTON, Jan. 21, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Family Research Council issued a statement warning one of President Biden’s first executive orders would target…

WASHINGTON, Jan. 21, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Family Research Council issued a statement warning one of President Biden’s first executive orders would target people of faith and religious organizations. The executive order demands that all federal agencies redefine «sex» to include «sexual orientation» and «gender identity» in their policies against sex discrimination. The order expands upon the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County, which redefined «sex» in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins issued the following statement:

«President Biden’s executive order effectively targets people of faith and faith-based organizations that provide social services that are even more vital in the midst of a pandemic. Now, those who hold to biological reality and the doctrines of the world’s major religions will be forced to violate their consciences, or even lose a government contract. Ultimately, if this executive order is able to be fully carried out, it will affect everyday Americans who hold biblical and conservative values. In his inauguration speech yesterday, President Biden called for unity, but he is now demanding uniformity.

«With a stroke of a pen, President Joe Biden has turned 50-year-old civil rights legislation on its head, hollowing out protections for people of faith. President Biden is unilaterally enacting a sweeping policy change that has routinely failed to win the approval of Congress, the body the Constitution tasks with actually passing laws.

«Sadly, the Biden administration is planning to go much further in its assault on biological reality and is expected to order schools to abolish girls’ sports and force boys and girls to use the same showers and locker rooms, and maybe even bunk together on school trips.

«The party that claims to be the party of science is advancing policies on day one that deny reality,» Perkins said.

Case study data shows the product consumption of ColorPLUS to be 25-30% less than competitive products. Full system application times with ColorPLUS coupled with oven cure time resulted in a 30 plus percent improvement in cycle time. It also leverages two cutting-edge companion clearcoats, 8460S and 8463S, which are designed to deliver outstanding system appearance and durability.

«Imron Elite Direct-to-Plastic basecoat improves productivity and performance for our customers by eliminating the need for a conventional adhesion promoter and simplifying the coating process from three steps to two,» said Marko Strukelj, Director, Global Transportation Product Engineering at Axalta. «This basecoat also improves overall appearance and enhances adhesion to a plastic substrate.»

A Direct-to-Plastic (DTP) basecoat applies color directly and can be used with or without activation. It requires no scuffing before repainting, and it dries quickly while delivering excellent adhesion. DTP is also specially formulated to deliver great hiding, smooth application and exceptional flake control over multiple plastic substrates and is available in most solid, metallic, pearlescent and special-effect colors.

«We are excited to introduce these two products into the Imron product portfolio,» said Joseph Wood, Vice President of Commercial Transportation Coatings at Axalta. «Both of these product extensions are aimed at helping our customers produce world class products while meeting cost, quality, and cycle time targets.»

As the OFCCP Director, Mr. Leen led the federal agency responsible for administering and enforcing the equal employment opportunity regulations to ensure that those who conduct business with the federal government (federal contractors and subcontractors) comply with their affirmative action and nondiscrimination obligations.

Under his leadership, the agency achieved record enforcement recoveries in FY 2019 and FY 2020 for victims of employment discrimination, and advanced directives and rulemaking that promoted transparency, certainty, efficiency, and recognition, which has significantly changed the agency’s approach to enforcement and substantially improved its relationship with contractors.

The agency under his direction introduced Focused Reviews and Compliance Checks, which enabled OFCCP to reach, evaluate, and provide compliance assistance to a greater number of contractors.

Prior to joining OFCCP, Mr. Leen served as the City Attorney of Coral Gables, Florida, where he practiced in the areas of constitutional law and civil rights, including working on a comprehensive inclusion program for individuals with disabilities.

«Our Board of Directors is comprised of a dedicated team of leaders committed to providing best-in-class solutions to forward-thinking employers who believe in the transformative power of diversity,» said Patrick Sheahan, CEO, Circa. «We are excited to channel Craig Leen’s talent, expertise, insight, and passion into furthering our mission to help companies develop a more diverse and inclusive workforce. Global Aircraft Electric Power Systems Market Report 2020: Growth Strategies Focused on Electrification Driving Recovery – All-electric Aircraft Technology for New Mobility Solutions

DUBLIN, Jan. 21, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — The «Industry Convergence…

DUBLIN, Jan. 21, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — The «Industry Convergence Boosting the Global Aircraft Electric Power Systems Market, 2020» report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com’s offering.

Research and Markets Logo

Electric power systems providers are part of a broader ecosystem within the aerospace industry supply chain, where hundreds of companies co-exist with varying levels of complementarity and dependency.

Commercial aviation has been seeing the highest levels of growth in recent years. Orders for new aircraft peaked in 2018, pushing the supply chain to capacity limits, which resulted in significant delays in deliveries and economic losses for OEMs and system integrators.

A series of transformations in the supply chain included several deals that led to a strong market concentration in the hands of large participants – now vertically integrated to improve efficiency, increase productivity, and remain competitive.

Given the integrated and interdependent supply chain, electric power system components manufacturers have not been immune to the various factors challenging the industry, notably the crisis triggered by the 737 MAX grounding order and the effects of COVID-19.

In light of such unprecedented crises, transformation plans are designed with an eye on industry recovery. Growth is expected to be slow and give rise to a new business model and supply chain.

There is much uncertainty with regard to the recovery process and the new market structure, but the post-pandemic normality is expected to bring profound changes in consumer behavior – in how they travel and interact with the industry. Increased safety regulations, as well as special attention to sustainability and healthcare issues, will help regain user confidence and return to the growth path that the market was able to maintain until 2018.
