DUBLIN, Feb. 23, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — The «Blockchain Use Cases and Business Models Transforming the Automotive Industry» report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com’s offering.

Research and Markets Logo

The aim of this research study is to give an overview of blockchain solutions, key use cases, and applications adopted in the automotive industry.

The study focuses on the strategies that original equipment manufacturers adopt, the business models they use, key vendors, and core features. In the connected, autonomous, shared, and electric (CASE) era, blockchain scalability that does not compromise security is a key challenge preventing its widespread adoption in the automotive industry.

Blockchain-based start-ups and global companies were primarily focusing on proofs of Concept and projects in the financial sector. The publisher’s analysis indicates that blockchain technology will reshape the insurance, automotive, healthcare, and logistics industries with innovative projects by 2025.

Technology companies and start-ups focusing on blockchain technology are building the infrastructure to advance the complex implications of the technology: industrial applications, smart cities, data markets, fintech, banking, information privacy, encrypted communications, gaming, and supply chain.

The automotive industry will pilot parts traceability, supply chain visibility, contract management, in-vehicle payments, ownership/identity management, and data monetization blockchain projects by 2022.

Considering data monetization, automotive companies should lay down aggressive roadmaps for the development of futuristic data management strategies (including what level of data needs to be collected, how data labeling will happen, and what the level of scaling in future will be) and accordingly set up an ecosystem for storage, processing, and service delivery.

Automotive firms can leverage deeper insights from generated data and create compelling use cases for connected and autonomous vehicles.

Tokenization will develop new business models across supply chains; rewards, asset maintenance, and data monetization are examples. The ability to reassess and revamp business models and align an organization with a service-oriented model will be a critical success factor.

«RDDC has a huge mandate, with COVID our work could not be more important» –Linda Goler Blount, BWHI President & CEO

The RDDC was established at a pivotal time, as the United States continues to grapple with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the glaringly evident racial disparities that exist regarding infection rates, treatment and access to care.

The coalitions initial public meeting, will commemorate the upcoming international Rare Disease Day, and will tap into the collective expertise and experiences of various stakeholders to raise awareness of the work. The meeting will take place virtually today, February 23, 2021, from 1:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. EST. Moderated by Emmy Award-Winning anchor Lesli Foster, the meeting will feature participation by leading rare disease experts from top healthcare organizations including the American Medical Association, National Medical Association, the National Hispanic Medical Association, and the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum. Remarks will also be offered by Congressman G. K. Butterfield (D-NC), Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith, Chair of the White House Covid-19 Health Equity Task Force, and NBA champion Alonzo Mourning, who suffered from focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a rare kidney disorder, and had a double kidney transplant in 2003.

RDDC has just released its 2021 Action Plan entitled «Charting the Path Forward for Equity in Rare Diseases», that lays out priorities which the coalition will be undertaking to address the challenges that rare disease patients of color face. At www.RareDiseaseDiversity.org, RDDC now has a website to share resources, promote patient stories, provide updates on their work, and otherwise engage with the rare disease community.

«RDDC has a huge mandate, but our work could not be more important. As COVID-19 sets its sights on people of color and patients living with rare and chronic diseases, the individuals who exist at the intersection of these two realities need dedicated advocacy and policy change now more than ever,» said Linda Goler Blount, BWHI President and CEO.

«Racial bias is entrenched in our healthcare system and deeply lowers the quality of care for patients of color. RDDC is working to educate, support and empower rare disease patients of color and their caregivers so they can be their own advocates,» said Dr. Elena Rios, President & CEO of the National Hispanic Medical Association.

«The work of RDDC is critical in order to address the health inequities that people of color with rare disease experience. RDDC is focused on raising awareness around these health inequalities, reducing racial disparities and advocating for evidence-based solutions,» said Juliet K. Choi, Chief Executive Officer of Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum.

Automotive Powertrain Cooling System Market: Increasing production of bigger engine vehicles drive growth

The production of bigger engine vehicles is increasing because downsized engines give rise to higher engine temperatures and lead to increased amounts of emissions. Bigger engines have higher value powertrain cooling systems that ensure absolute control over powertrain temperature. Downsized engines have a higher risk of being non-compliant with emission norms than bigger engine vehicles. For instance, Volkswagen, Renault, and General Motors have canceled the production of certain models of downsized engine vehicles in 2019 in favor of bigger engine vehicles. This factor will increase the growth of the market in focus over the forecast period.

Is there any relief during this COVID-19 pandemic? Request Free Sample Research Report

As per Technavio, the high dependence on internal combustion engine vehicles will have a positive impact on the market and contribute to its growth significantly over the forecast period. This research report also analyzes other significant trends and market drivers that will influence market growth over 2021-2025.

Automotive Powertrain Cooling System Market: High dependence on internal combustion engine vehicles

Automotive powertrain cooling systems are mainly used in internal combustion engines as they produce massive amounts of heat, which needs an efficient cooling system to prevent overheating. Internal combustion engines are highly preferred, especially in emerging countries, as high prices of electric and hybrid vehicles drive the demand for gasoline-and diesel-engine vehicles. This is expected to drive the automotive powertrain cooling system market during the forecast period. Increased preference for road transport of freight is also driving the preference for commercial vehicles rather than electric and hybrid vehicles. Hence, increased dependence on internal combustion engines is assured to drive the automotive powertrain cooling system market during the forecast period.

«Increased preference for road transport of freight and increased dependence on internal combustion engines will further boost market growth during the forecast period», says a senior analyst at Technavio.

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb. 23, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — America’s Gateway to the South will be bright yellow, now that Spirit Airlines (NYSE: SAVE) is on the way. Today the airline announced plans to add Louisville—one of the fastest-growing cities in the country—to its route map with nonstop daily service to four cities. Spirit plans to inaugurate service from the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport on Thursday, May 27, with flights to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Orlando (MCO), Las Vegas (LAS) and SDF’s only nonstop flight to Los Angeles (LAX). Images and videos can be found here.

«It’s time to bring the best value in the sky to Louisville,» said John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning for Spirit Airlines. «We can’t wait to welcome Guests from Kentucky into the Spirit family so they can enjoy our unbeatable combination of service, reliability, new planes and low fares when they take their next trip. Plus, we’ll get to introduce travelers to the Derby City’s mix of outdoor beauty, art and history, not to mention the bourbon.»

Spirit’s flight 502 will be the only nonstop service to Los Angeles from Louisville, removing intermediate stops on the way and making quick trips between the two cities easier than ever. The airline continues to seize that kind of growth opportunity as demand for air travel increases. Earlier this month, the carrier announced an accelerated delivery schedule for new Airbus aircraft joining Spirit’s Fit Fleet™, which is among the youngest in the industry.

«Today is a great day for the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport,» said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. «Spirit is a great addition for the Louisville community and travelers across the region with their robust network and competitive fares. Spirit’s mission is ‘more go’ and we’re accomplishing that with today’s announcement – more options for more travelers to visit more destinations across the country and around the world. We welcome Spirit to SDF and look forward to a vibrant future.»

Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas and Orlando are three of Spirit’s biggest cities, which means nonstop flights from SDF come with easy connections to nine additional destinations. Fort Lauderdale is also Spirit’s largest gateway to the Caribbean and Latin America, providing access to five countries.

«Beyond these very welcome new flights to key destinations, Spirit Airlines also brings a new network of connections to our city, which is great for attracting businesses and new visitors,» said Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer. «And given our city’s role as the home of Bourbonism, it’s only fitting that Spirit would land here! Welcome, Spirit Airlines!»

2021 is off to a great start at Spirit Airlines. In January, the carrier launched its new Free Spirit® loyalty program, which is the fastest way to earn rewards and status.* Spirit is also one of only three U.S. airlines listed on FORTUNE’s 2021 list of World’s Most Admired® Companies, which measures companies with the strongest reputation within their industries. Spirit also earned «Platinum» status as the highest-rated low-fare carrier in the world for cleanliness and safety during the travel journey by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) Health Safety initiative powered by SimpliFlying.

Guest Safety
Spirit’s commitment to Safe Travels includes a multi-layered safety approach that requires all Guests and Team Members to wear face coverings. Each passenger agrees to that policy as part of a health and safety acknowledgement prior to boarding the aircraft. Every plane in our Fit Fleet® uses state-of-the-art, high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters that capture 99.97% of particles and filter the air for contaminants every 3 minutes.

Between each flight, enhanced cleaning procedures focus on high-touch areas such as tray tables and armrests. Spirit also uses two EPA-registered fogging treatments. The first applies a safe, high-grade disinfectant that’s effective against coronaviruses. The second uses an antimicrobial product that forms an invisible barrier on all surfaces that kills bacteria and viruses on contact for 30 days. Please visit Spirit’s COVID-19 Information Center for more information on safety enhancements.

*Based on points earned on published fares (excluding sale fares) and optional services using the Free Spirit Credit Card (the «Card»), and includes status qualifying points earned by spending on Spirit and everyday purchases using the Card.
