MESA, Ariz., Aug. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — mySongbird is modernizing the concert experience with its new concert streaming platform and restoring our planet through the power of music.

The music industry is changing, and mySongbird’s team, which together boasts over a century of experience across music, technology, and entertainment, rose to the challenge. Even before the coronavirus gripped the music industry, canceling tours and in-person concerts, streaming was on the rise. Now, in a post-COVID world, live-streaming is gaining even more steam, up 99% this year alone. mySongbird set out to fill the void and has created a revolutionary, sustainable company harnessing the power of music to change the world for the better.

The mySongbird model is a win for everyone. Subscribers will gain access to immersive experiences through a library of past, present and future shows across numerous languages and genres. Artists will enjoy connecting with more fans and earning more income. The planet will also benefit. A minimum of 20% of mySongbird’s EBITDA will be reinvested in companies or individuals who are working on technological solutions to ensure that Planet Earth lives on indefinitely. They will seek out the greatest ideas, help entrepreneurs in their start-up phases, fund the best of these companies, and assist in their growth.

mySongbird will begin hosting safely-distanced, intimate performances this fall, meeting fans where they are through television, phones, laptops, desktop computers, tablets and more. The performances will live on after the encore, with fans able to re-watch on the mySongbird site as well as on Dish, Sling and other platforms.

Founder and CEO, Michael Mountford, said, «I created mySongbird because I realized that people pay to attend a sporting event, and then come home to watch sports on TV, but this wasn’t the case for concerts. At the same time, I also thought about how a large portion of professional athletes’ income is derived from huge TV contracts, and again, this wasn’t the case for the music industry and musicians. mySongbird was the answer to solving both of these things, and I am excited to be able to support artists and fans all while giving back to our planet.»

About mySongbird

Founded in 2020 by Michael Mountford, mySongbird is a sustainable company filling the void of premium musical entertainment on television. By providing in-person and streamed concerts, and a massive genre-spanning library, the company is able to support artists and fans simultaneously with a professionally-produced, fully immersive style. The company is also serious about doing the most good. mySongbird reinvests a minimum of 20% of their EBITDA in companies or individuals who are working on technological solutions to ensure that Planet Earth lives on indefinitely. They will seek out the greatest ideas, help entrepreneurs in their start-up phases, fund the best of these companies, and assist in their growth.

Q BioMed Announces Strontium89 will be available as of September 2020 through Named Patient Program for Bone Metastases Pain Palliation in EU and Rest of World

NEW YORK, Aug. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Q BioMed Inc. The Named Patient Program will be available to physicians…

NEW YORK, Aug. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Q BioMed Inc. (OTCQB: QBIO), a commercial stage biotech company, announced today it is launching a Named Patient Program for its non-opioid bone metastases pain palliation drug, Strontium89 (Strontium Chloride Sr-89 Injection, USP). The Named Patient Program will be available to physicians and patients in the EU and throughout the world, and will be facilitated by Caligor Coghlan Pharma Services (CCPS).

Strontium89 is an FDA-approved, non-opioid radiopharmaceutical indicated for the treatment of painful skeletal metastases caused by cancer, and is agnostic of the primary tumor. Common primary tumors that metastasize to the bone include prostate, breast, lung, as well as others. In several multicenter, placebo-controlled trials in cancer patients with pain from bone metastases, pain relief occurred in more patients treated with a single injection of Strontium89 than in patients treated with an injection of placebo. Strontium89 is administered intravenously once every three months and for some patients can reduce or even eliminate the need for opioid analgesics; pain relief lasts from 2 – 5 months in most patients.

Use of Strontium89 in patients with evidence of seriously compromised bone marrow from previous therapy or disease infiltration is not recommended unless the potential benefit of the treatment outweighs its risks. Bone marrow toxicity is to be expected, particularly in white blood cells and platelets. The extent of toxicity is variable but effects are generally transient. In randomized studies of Strontium89, the majority of hematologic toxicity was mild to moderate (Grade 2 or less) and white blood cell and platelet counts remained within approximately 70% of pretreatment levels. For more information including Important Safety Information please visit the Strontium89 page on Qbiomed.com.

Over ten million people around the world suffer from pain associated with metastatic cancer in the bone and may benefit from Strontium89. For nearly two years, there has been little to no access to this vital therapy, after manufacturing ceased in December of 2018. Q BioMed is pleased that the Named Patient Program will ensure immediate global patient access to an important therapy for this patient population. In the meantime, Q BioMed is actively pursuing full regulatory and marketing approval for Strontium89 in all major markets worldwide.

Denis Corin, CEO of Q BioMed, said of the program, «We are very happy that Strontium89 is once again available worldwide, and that physicians have the ability to prescribe a safe, effective and non-opioid treatment to their bone metastasis pain patients regardless of their primary tumor type and notably beyond prostate cancer. We are actively working to ensure that Strontium89 is accessible to patients everywhere and to extend its relevance and use thorough additional clinical study.»

Any queries about the program and availability can be directed to info@qbiomed.com and at https://qbiomed.com/pipeline/sr89.

ALPHARETTA, GA, Aug. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — FDA has cleared MagVenture TMS Therapy® for adjunct treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). This marks the second indication in the US for the Danish medical device company MagVenture who is already FDA cleared for the treatment of major depressive disorder.

OCD is a mental health disorder characterized by unreasonable thoughts and fears (obsessions) which lead to repetitive behavior (compulsions). OCD can severely affect one’s daily life and routines and cause distress or even functional impairment. Although pharmaceutical and psychological interventions are available, some OCD patients experience limited results from these and need more therapeutic options.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) uses magnetic pulses to stimulate a specific area in the brain in order to improve the OCD symptoms. TMS is a well-established, FDA cleared option for people suffering from treatment-resistant Major Depressive Disorder and available throughout the US at numerous psychiatric practices and hospitals. MagVenture TMS Therapy® was FDA cleared for depression in 2015 and the first company to receive FDA clearance for the 3-minute Express TMS® – the shortest TMS treatment currently available.

MagVenture TMS Therapy is an adjunct treatment to existing OCD therapies which may involve pharmaceutical and behavioral therapy. It is an out-patient procedure with no systemic side effects. The treatment specifically targets the networks in the brain which are known to be particularly affected by OCD, including the deeper-lying structures.

«We have worked closely with brain researchers for well over 25 years, providing numerous TMS solutions to help advance the field of neuroscience – both basic and applied. Expanding the treatment options to include other indications than major depressive disorder, such as OCD, is one more important step towards helping more adult patients improve their mental health,» says VP of Sales, MagVenture Inc, Kerry Rome.

MagVenture TMS Therapy® FDA clearances: «As an adjunct for the treatment of adult patients suffering from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)» and «Treatment of Major Depressive Disorder in adult patients who have failed to receive satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant medication in the current episode.»

MagVenture is a Danish medical device company specializing in non-invasive magnetic stimulation systems for the treatment of major depressive disorder and brain research. In 2018, MagVenture was the first TMS company to receive FDA clearance for Express TMS®, reducing treatment time from the standard 37 minutes to just 3 minutes per session.

TORONTO, Aug. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Employees are one of a company’s greatest assets. Providing them peace of mind and protecting their health and safety has always been our first priority. With these beliefs in mind, Constellation HomeBuilder Systems is proud to announce the launch of our new COVID-19 Screening Tool. As more states mandate health pre-screenings, there’s no better time to mitigate the risk to our clients’ operations.

As the largest provider of home building software solutions and services, Constellation HomeBuilder Systems is ideally placed to offer this unique solution that supports business operations, while minimizing risk for your staff and stakeholders.

Our COVID-19 Screening Tool has been developed specifically for the home building industry, and allows managers and HR teams to quickly and easily execute digital health assessments that are both secure and confidential.

Through the tool, assessment questionnaires are sent to anyone who plans to enter your workplace each day. This assessment includes specific questions suggested by health experts, or businesses can implement their own. This helps to ensure compliance with governmental as well as industry regulations.

Robust and customizable reporting features offer regular updates, so management has all the information they’ll need to make informed decisions, protect their business’s ongoing work, and minimize risk for their team.

Inside the tool, guidelines on COVID-19 safety protocols, self-isolation after exposure, and testing make it easy for your team to find accurate and up-to-date health information at any time of the day or night.

«Our primary goal is for our solutions to serve our clients, and help them recover from the devastating impacts of COVID-19,» says Christian Caswell, Director and Founder of CustomerInsight at Constellation HomeBuilder Systems. «Our new COVID-19 Screening Tool is a practical way for us to help our partners by offering a simple solution for new provincially-mandated health screening requirements.»

Since rolling out the COVID-19 Screening Tool from CustomerInsight, Constellation HomeBuilder Systems has continually invested in ongoing customer support and updates that ensure this tool can be integrated into any business’s existing systems. New Center for Migration and Economic Stabilization Launched by Creative Associates International

WASHINGTON, Aug. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Creative Associates International is launching a specialized Center for Migration and Economic Stabilization to drive innovation and program responsiveness to this global phenomenon.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Creative Associates International is launching a specialized Center for Migration and Economic Stabilization to drive innovation and program responsiveness to this global phenomenon.

«Our launch is timely since the pandemic has generated new urgencies around migration,» says Creative President and CEO Leland Kruvant. «This Center will combine technical rigor and ingenuity with Creative’s on-the-ground programmatic experience to address the pressing challenges that lure migrants into risking it all.»

The Center for Migration and Economic Stabilization builds on Creative’s 2019 groundbreaking research on the drivers of migration from Central America’s Northern Triangle.

Pablo Maldonado, Creative’s Chief Operating Officer, says those motivations to migrate North remain as present as ever and will combine with the effects of COVID-19 to generate a powerful impetus to migrate.

«Migration is connected and overlaps with other systemic challenges facing Central America, West Africa and elsewhere,» Maldonado says. «Unfortunately, long-standing development challenges will intersect with the economic hardship of COVID-19 to create a perfect storm for migration. We will see shifts in migration activity and trends, including changing attitudes, internal migration and relocations across borders all caused by the economic squeeze.»

The Center for Migration and Economic Stabilization will serve as a hub of thought leadership on the issue both as a cause and byproduct of other development challenges challenges. The Center has a pointed focus on serving the underserved, those who are not typically touched by more traditional economic development, including youth, women and those working in informal economies.

The Center will continue and expand on Creative’s earlier migration pursuits, including methodical data gathering to track migration and its drivers, demystification of popular migration beliefs that are not supported by evidence and, more broadly, the creation of programs that are material to the decision to migrate — mostly in the economic arena, Maldonado says.

«The Center will help us stay at the forefront of understanding these issues and ultimately lead to better, locally focused programming to mitigate the causes of migration. It will be a much-needed resource for fresh thinking on migration,» Maldonado says.

Thought leader, practitioner to direct the Center

The Center for Migration and Economic Stabilization is led by noted expert Manuel Orozco, Ph.D., who joined Creative after more than 20 years at the Inter-American Dialogue in Washington, D.C.

Orozco, a recognized researcher and analyst of global migration flows, including remittances, will complement Creative’s technical expertise in economic growth, youth, education, governance, citizen security and more to enrich programming and identify opportunities to respond thoughtfully to migration.

Most recently Senior Director of Remittances and Development at the Inter-American Dialogue, Orozco also led Creative’s 2019 study into the drivers of migration from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. Details may be seen at: https://www.saliendo-adelante.com

«After getting to know Creative’s high-caliber work and its dedication to fully understanding the causes of migration, I’m honored by the opportunity to join the team and help Creative continue being a leader on this global topic,» Orozco says. «Through the Center, I hope to provide valuable insights to ensure that Creative’s programs help mitigate the causes of migration.»

The need for additional expertise and leadership on migration became more urgent as COVID-19 spread across the globe, leaving already fragile communities reeling and indicating a major impact on migration patterns for years to come.

«We know that COVID-19 will have a profound effect on migration,» Maldonado says. «With the creation of the Center for Migration and Economic Stabilization, we can meet this looming challenge and better serve communities and families grappling with the fallout of the pandemic.»

Orozco will convene a panel on COVID-19 and remittances at this year’s virtual Central America Donors Forum. Click here for more information and to register.

In addition to his new role at Creative, Orozco is a Senior Migration Fellow for the Center for International Development at Harvard University and Senior Migration and Remittances Advisor for the International Fund for Agricultural Development. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.A. in public administration and Latin American studies, and a B.A. in international relations from the National University of Costa Rica.
