COMMACK, N.Y., Aug. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Widely recognized as one of the best «Pound for Pound» boxers of all time, Roy Jones Jr. has created a stir in the sports world after signing a contract to fight Mike Tyson on Sept. 12, 2020. In a self-proclaimed «David vs. Goliath» event, Roy (51) seems un-phased by the recent media frenzy surrounding Mike Tyson’s return to boxing. This includes the high octane training videos that show Tyson to be in solid shape leading up to this bout. Roy in his prime was one of the most dynamic boxers of all time, winning titles in 4 different weight classes.

Tyson, who hasn’t entered the ring in 15 years, has spent the last three years building his cannabis empire Tyson Ranch. Tyson Ranch is said to be earning Tyson upwards of one million dollars per month. This week, Roy Jones Jr. has decided to throw his hat in the ring and enter the ever-emerging cannabis space himself. Roy has partnered with New York-based manufacturer The Emerald Corp. to launch his new product line, Left Hook CBD. Left Hook is likely named after Roy’s deadly left hook that has battered fighters from Jeff Lacy to James Toney throughout his career. The Emerald Corp is known industry-wide for utilizing well known botanical supplements to enhance their CBD products. Their new 35,000 sq. foot cleanroom facility in Long Island, NY will serve as Left Hook’s headquarters and distribution hub. The brand will consist of four products:

Knuckle Up – 1500mg CBD Joint Support Rub* w/ Arnica Oil & Turmeric – $79.99
Body Work – 1000mg CBD Lotion w/ Frankincense & Lavender – $49.99
 Knock Out – 500mg CBD Sleep Tincture* w/ Melatonin – $24.99
Recovery – 1000mg CBD Tincture w/ Spirulina – $49.99

CBD products are gaining popularity in the sports world. Namely in combat sports, where fighters like Nate Diaz, Shannon Brigs and Sean O’Malley are all heavily involved in the CBD space. Roy’s «Knuckle Up» Joint Support Rub features Arnica Oil & Turmeric that are known for their anti-inflammatory properties. As combat sports appear to lead the way for CBD mainstreaming in sports, celebrity-backed brands are helping to educate consumers on the possible benefits CBD may have.

Roy Jones Jr. and Mike Tyson seem to be at the point of no return as they train hard leading up to the fight. Tyson has made it clear that he «only knows one way to fight» and would be holding nothing back on Sept. 12. This 8 Round exhibition with no judges is sure to be nothing short of entertaining and it is likely both of these boxing legends may need all the CBD the can get their hands on.

RALEIGH, N.C., Aug. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — LexisNexis® Legal & Professional, provider of a leading cloud-based enterprise legal management solution for corporate legal departments: LexisNexis® CounselLink®, has been named a leader in two IDC MarketScape reports –  Worldwide Enterprise Legal Spend Management 2020 Vendor Assessment and Worldwide Enterprise Matter Management 2020 Vendor Assessment.

«Enterprise legal management is the cornerstone of the legal department and is increasingly becoming the most important application in the legal stack. End users require easy-to-use, integrated and collaborative software that manages matters and spend. LexisNexis’ customers clearly indicated that the CounselLink product does those things and more, allowing them to successfully navigate the digitally transformed world,» said Ryan O’Leary, senior analyst at IDC.

The IDC MarketScape reports, which draw substantially on user and client feedback, provide quantitative and qualitative assessments of each vendor’s offerings in the marketplace. They also identify the factors expected to be the most influential to an organization’s future short-term and long-term success in the market. To be included in the IDC MarketScape study, vendors were required to have ELM software revenue of at least $30 million in CY19 and target primarily a corporate legal end user.

LexisNexis was recognized for CounselLink’s predictive analytics and «simple and intuitive» user interface. Additionally, the CounselLink FastTrack program, which allows law firms to get paid more quickly while helping law departments manage their legal budgets, was cited by the IDC MarketScape as a key competitive advantage. «A major differentiator for LexisNexis is its new FastTrack program that works with the financial services company LSQ to accelerate payments to law firms while allowing enterprises to hold onto their cash and pay LSQ later,» the ELM report noted.

Aaron Pierce, General Manager of CounselLink, said, «We are honored to be named a leader by the IDC MarketScape in both the enterprise legal spend management and the matter management categories. In today’s economic climate, organizations are increasingly focused on improving their management of internal resources and spend with outside vendors. Legal departments can be an indispensable partner in this, which is why we have continued to invest in building out CounselLink’s comprehensive work, financial and vendor management solutions – to help them more easily and effectively control costs, maximize productivity and make better decisions.»

SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — LILEE Systems announced the launch of self-driving bus operations in Tainan, the second largest city in southern Taiwan. This will be the first revenue-generating service of autonomous rapid transit (ART) in Taiwan supported by the central and local governments.

In July 2020, LILEE Systems received the autonomous vehicle license plate to run self-driving buses on public streets for two bus lines. Through the ART project, LILEE Systems will support the Tainan City Government to enhance and expand its public transportation network.

«Autonomous technology will lead a revolutionary change to the city’s transportation systems,» said Huang Wei-Cher, Mayor of Tainan. «The smart transportation initiative will help us improve overall road safety, operational efficiency, and rural area transportation services.»

«Through continuous safety validation of self-driving technology, autonomous rapid transit (ART) will be a cost-effective alternative to traditional MRT systems for cities like Tainan,» said Kung Ming-Hsin, Minister of National Development Council. «From a public infrastructure perspective, this new approach can not only reduce deployment costs by half but also serve twice as many citizens. The pioneering innovation of ART will provide a safer, more efficient, and more accessible transportation network and become the pride of Taiwan

«Thanks to the support from the governments and our partners, we are glad to bring a conceptual technology to a Level-4 autonomous bus solution,» said Jia-Ru Li, CEO of LILEE Systems. «We believe ART will become the new mode of public transportation in the coming years, solving urban transportation challenges such as driver shortages and increasing operational costs.»

The Tainan self-driving buses on virtual tracks are centrally managed and controlled from an operations control center (OCC) as added layers of safety. The safety-first principle comes from LILEE Systems’ decade of experience in the railroad industry. Prior to the ART project in Tainan, LILEE Systems has conducted several proof-of-service pilots in the past to demonstrate safety and operational efficiency of its self-driving solution.

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Aravo Solutions, the leading provider of intelligent automation applications for third-party risk and performance management, has announced the general availability of Aravo for Supply Chain Resilience. Using this pre-configured application, organizations can take a proactive, supplier-based approach to preventing disruptions of all kinds that can stem from natural disasters to man-made events.

«The global pandemic has heightened awareness of emerging risks associated with supply chain disruption all the way to the board level,» says Kimberley Allan, CMO at Aravo. «Regulators are also asking tough questions about what is being done to prevent disruption. With Aravo for Supply Chain Resilience, third-party risk programs can implement the functionality needed to address these demands in a matter of days.»

In a recent survey, 74% of respondents reported that supply chain disruptions and constraints would be the greatest threat to their manufacturing business over the next 12 months*. However, COVID-19 has exposed organizations of all kinds to unprecedented hazards, such as cybersecurity and continuity risks associated with the broad shift to remote work, and exposed the brittleness of existing supply chains.

«In the wake of the pandemic, our clients quickly leveraged Aravo’s inherent platform capabilities to reach out to their third parties and analyze the impact on their operations,» comments Aravo CTO Eric Hensley. «Because of the flexibility and extensibility of the platform, Aravo has been able to fully develop a ready-to-use application in a matter of months that will automate that process for them with the added benefits of pre-configured hazard monitoring and reporting. The application will further help them manage business processes for mitigating risks and identifying alternate suppliers.»

Capabilities:

  • Hazard reporting. Through integration with a global monitoring platform, such as DisasterAWARE, Aravo sends alerts when a supplier could potentially be impacted by issues such as weather, geo-political unrest, or virtually any other hazard. Hazards can also be reported in Aravo by users or by third parties using the Third Party Portal.
  • Business impact assessments. Based on alerts, users can send online business impact surveys to potentially affected third parties. Aravo scores the responses and automates a review process to determine if further action is needed.
  • Action plans. If an incident requires mitigation, Aravo automates the steps within the action plan through completion with a robust audit trail. To ensure continuity of supply, the solution can also identify alternate sources of supply, giving users the option of using Aravo to launch an RFx.
  • Reporting. Aravo for Supply Chain Resilience includes pre-configured dashboards and reports that provide visibility into potential risk exposure from the portfolio level all the way down to the specific contract or engagement, including details of remediation activities.

Benefits of Aravo for Supply Chain Resilience

With Aravo for Supply Chain Resilience, third-party risk programs can deliver value to the business:

  • Prevent disruption caused by lack of information about potential emerging risks.
  • Defend continuity of supply by gathering the data needed to make decisions.
  • Respond to threats through automated risk mitigation plans and identification of alternate suppliers.
  • Recover from incidents potentially disruptive incidents by ensuring mitigation plans fully implemented and concluded.

New Ericom Application Isolator Gives Existing VPNs and Networks a Simple, Cost-Effective Zero Trust Security Boost

NEW YORK, Aug. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Ericom Software, a leader in secure web and application access solutions, announced today the introduction of Ericom Application Isolator, a new solution that integrates with existing remote access VPNs and Next Generation Firewalls to secure corporate applications and data from the security risks associated with excessive access rights inside a network. The Standard Edition of the software is available for free and can be downloaded from <a…

The Standard Edition of the software is available for free and can be downloaded from Ericom’s website.

Ericom Application Isolator addresses the security risks created by the broad access rights granted to users and devices on corporate networks, which create an environment hackers or malicious insiders can easily exploit. Extensive permissions unnecessarily expose applications and other resources to threats, enabling lateral spread of malware and attacks inside the network. The solution prevents attacks by limiting remote and internal application access to only what is typically required. It cloaks applications from unauthorized users, stopping the spread of threats by making them invisible to would-be attackers.

«We all realize networks face elevated security risk, especially now that organizations have doubled-down on VPNs to connect their newly-remote workforces to the apps and data they need,» said David Canellos, Ericom Software Chief Executive Officer. «The increase in remote workers as a result of COVID-19 has created a surge in cybercrime, driving organizations to look for cost-effective ways to add Zero Trust security to their existing environments, and Ericom Application Isolator offers a simple way to quickly bolster their defenses.»

Ericom Application Isolator delivers key Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) controls that make applications and resources invisible to hackers if they manage to somehow penetrate a network, preventing lateral movement attacks. It also limits access for authenticated users to only the specific applications they need, thereby reducing the risk of insider-attacks. The lightweight software seamlessly integrates with existing VPN and NGFW infrastructures, and leverages patent-pending advanced machine-learning capabilities to simplify deployment and use. When used with other integrated security controls, including Ericom Shield Remote Browser Isolation, Ericom Application Isolator supports organizations adopting a Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) security framework.

«To support work-from-home initiatives resulting from COVID-19, many businesses scaled up their investment in VPNs and NGFWs to connect their newly distributed workforce to corporate applications and IT resources. With these initial priorities now addressed, organizations should re-examine their network defenses to ensure that effective security protections are in place, including zero-trust capabilities,» said John Grady Analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG). «Ericom Application Isolator is a streamlined, cost-effective way to add important zero-trust security controls to existing VPNs and firewalls, protecting organizations from lateral movement attacks that result in ransomware spread, data loss, and significant business disruption.»

New solution capabilities announced today include:

  • Application/Resource Cloaking – makes corporate applications and resources invisible to users without proper permissions. Users connect to the network as usual, either while at the office or remotely using their VPN client, and Ericom Application Isolator enforces least-privileged access policies. Authenticated users with valid permissions have no change in their user experience.
  • Automatic Access Policy Creation – simplifies the process of establishing per-user remote (North-South) and internal (East-West) secure access policies. The solution’s patent-pending Auto-Policy Manager automatically generates per-user (or group) access policies based on network traffic analysis over a configurable time period. Manual adjustments can be applied as needed to quickly define and deploy least-privileged access policies for the entire organization.
  • Integrations with Leading VPNs and NGFWs – leverages an organization’s existing investments in VPNs and NGFWs to accelerate their move to Zero Trust Security. The solution can be deployed quickly, does not require any new agents to be installed, and operates with the gateways and VPN clients of leading vendors, including Check Point, Forcepoint, Fortinet, OpenVPN, and more. The software also integrates with Microsoft Active Directory to authenticate and authorize users while they are in corporate offices accessing internal resources. The current list of supported integrations is available on Ericom’s website.
  • Activity Reporting and Monitoring – gives IT professionals visibility into application and resource access and use. It allows for policy verification and ongoing learning and adjustment of policies based on observed usage patterns and can be used to meet internal compliance and audit requirements.

«Ericom Application Isolator has added an important set of capabilities to our remote access security approach,» said Joe Morin, CEO of Cyflare. «The solution was plug and play with our existing VPN infrastructure, required no endpoint agent, and provided an automated process to create our least-privileged access policies. I highly recommend it for organizations looking for a quick and efficient way to add zero trust network access capabilities to their environments.»

Pricing & Availability
Ericom Application Isolator is available in two editions, Standard and Advanced. The Standard Edition is free, and the Advanced Edition, which includes additional features and capabilities, is priced at $2.25 per user per month. Visit http://www.ericom.com to learn more and download the software.

OAKLAND, Calif., Aug. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — This June, Just Beginnings Collaborative (JBC) announced its funding of 12 grantees as part of the donor collaborative’s We See You Fund. JBC carefully selected organizations that center survivors, especially queer and trans, Black and Indigenous people of color, those with disabilities, and those with complex immigration status issues, in their efforts to interrupt, support healing from, and prevent child sexual abuse. The group of grantees comprises initiatives from across the country, and includes projects that approach child sexual harm expansively, often as part of other anti-violence movement-building.

«We See You Fund grantees represent the tremendous creativity and strength that those traditionally blocked from opportunity are bringing to our ongoing public health crisis and the growing call to finally reckon with our shared past, rooted in systemic racism and oppression,» said JBC Executive Director Nicole Pittman. «We meant for the We See You Fund to be an acknowledgement that we see and hear the alternative futures for children people bring into being every day. We are in awe of our grantees’ hopeful spirit and continue to learn from their examples about what it means to truly support an end to childhood sexual harm.»

JBC’s 2020 We See You Fund grantees include:

The We See You Fund specifically sought to support work with multiply vulnerable children and adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse who are at the greatest risk of harm. Young people belonging to these groups are often overlooked by institutions, which makes efforts to center them all the more essential during this critical time. Pittman sees all 12 of the grantees as «possessing a deep commitment to creative, hopeful, survivor-led solutions that begin with communities and flourish through thoughtful action.»

«We not only see their good work now; we see the transformative opportunities they are seeding in every moment.»

More About Just Beginnings Collaborative
Since 2015, Just Beginnings Collaborative has been building an alliance of survivor-leaders and funders dedicated to ending child sexual abuse and fostering a branching (rhizomatic) process of interconnection to get there. We support survivor-centered efforts that propagate transformative practices in criss-crossing root systems. We align with funders who want those roots to penetrate the philanthropic world. We grow through and past binaries of good and evil. We advance a campaign to restory child sexual abuse by traversing a vast horizontal root web of influences. Where others have seen only inevitability, we sense tremendous possibility.

NEW YORK, Aug. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Schools and Colleges are in a bind this fall: do they resume in-person classes or stay with a remote arrangement? For administrators, the decision is a balancing act.

The pressure for these decisions comes from students, parents, and even faculty. Yale has announced that Freshmen, Juniors, and Seniors will be living on campus but will be taught remotely. This strategy has been called the «worst of all worlds,» with increased virus exposure while the students do «remote learning… at full tuition.» At other schools, over 50% of announced plans involve on-campus learning, but many with classes staggered or held remotely.

A technology like PreciTaste’s AI Welcome Center (AIWe), geared towards the needs of academia, can smooth the transition to in-person learning. Instant temperature checks with state-of-the-art laser sensing technology are captured and logged automatically. The device checks for face masks with vision AI. By placing devices at the entrance to congregation areas such as dining halls and academic buildings, the AI Welcome Center ensures that masks are worn to limit transmission. The entire process takes under 10 seconds, so the pace of a busy campus can stay up to speed with less risk.

Based on a device designed for the demands of the foodservice and retail industries, AIWe Academic is tailored to the collegiate environment. Student badges or ID’s are scanned and seamlessly integrated for instantaneous sign-in at various locations on campus. Visitors receive printed labels identifying that they have been scanned. Data for contact tracing is logged to limit the impact of infected students and augment existing contact tracing efforts.

Regulations vary widely from one state to the next, and from one day to the next as laws develop throughout the country. AIWe Academic is built to address every situation across the United States, with software-based updates and adaptable features. States such as Florida require face masks when distancing is not possible. Conversely, states that have seen recent reductions in new cases, such as New York, are requiring travelers to quarantine for 14 days after arriving. With the included voice-activated questionnaire, universities can request customization to include their state’s regulations and recommendations. These software updates can be installed remotely during nighttime hours for regulations that may change after purchase of your devices.
