Users can also receive notifications when their sessions are about to expire and extend their sessions directly from their smartphones.

LOUISVILLE, Colo., Dec. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Solid Power, an industry-leading developer of all solid-state batteries for electric vehicles, today announced that its Louisville, Colo. facility is producing 20 ampere hour (Ah) multi-layer all solid-state lithium metal batteries on the company’s continuous roll-to-roll production line.

The 330 Wh/kg, 22-layer cells have higher energy density than any commercially available lithium-ion battery manufactured today with a roadmap to surpass 400 Wh/kg by 2022. Solid Power’s truly all solid-state cells can be manufactured at commercial scale using industry standard lithium-ion roll-to-roll production equipment. The 20Ah cells are currently being produced to validate large-format cell production processes in partnership with its automotive partners. Solid Power anticipates entering the formal automotive qualification process in early 2022 with even larger capacity all solid-state battery cells.

WARRENDALE, Pa., Dec. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — The Automated Vehicle Safety Consortium™ (AVSC) today announced the availability of its fifth published best practice titled, Best Practice for First Responder Interactions with Fleet-Managed Automated Driving System-Dedicated Vehicles (ADS-DVs). This best practice provides recommended procedures and protocols for Automated Driving System (ADS) developers to follow in order to facilitate safe and effective first responder interactions for a multitude of scenarios. It is intended for developers operating and managing fleets of ADS Dedicated Vehicles (ADS-DVs) – in other words – those with SAE International’s Levels 4 and 5 automation.

«Our nation’s first responders face countless challenging situations every day and we realize it’s impossible to develop specific protocols and practices for each and every one,» said Amy Chu, director of the AVSC. «However, we can provide clarity around the type of key interactions ADS developers can expect with first responders and provide some practical recommendations for developers to engage with the first responder community before deploying on public roads. The latest best practice builds on earlier work done by the Crash Avoidance Metrics Partnership and details three types of interactions that first responders may encounter with AVs: direct, indirect, and informational. In total, 36 recommendations are spelled out for ADS developers to include in a standardized framework which can assist first responders in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

The first responder interaction plan framework consists of three aspects that help contribute to safe interactions. This framework guides AV developers to build their own interaction plan, publish and maintain the plan, and ensure proper training is available. In addition, state and local governments can use this framework as a reference when engaging developers and manufacturers operating on public roadways.

For the second year in a row, Colorado performed well in the rankings, with 12 Centennial State ski resorts making it into the top 50. Located in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado is known for its high elevations and consistent snowfall, and its ski resorts are destinations unto themselves. «Convenient access from anywhere in the country through Denver international Airport, an amazing number of bluebird days, fantastic snowfall, and tons of vertical place Colorado in the mix as one of the premier ski destinations in the world, not just the US,» said Timo Acosta, co-founder of MtnScoop.com.
