BREA, Calif., Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — TSC Printronix Auto ID, a global leader in barcode label printing solutions, announces their largest product update yet, offering a range of advancements, including more secure and adaptable wireless connectivity options, enterprise mobility management capabilities, and better printhead management mechanisms to protect against incorrect or poor-quality labels.

Printers from each of the following families have been upgraded with new electronics: the MH Series performance industrial printers, the MX Series performance industrial printers, and the PEX Series industrial print engines. The printers received evolutionary upgrades to their operational performance. In the product update, TSC also launched two new industrial printers in the MH261 Series, the MH261T and MH361T 6-inch industrial thermal transfer printers. The performance models are ideal for printing applications in logistics, manufacturing, retail, distribution, healthcare, and much more.

The new and improved printers feature more powerful wireless connectivity options than their predecessors, including combination wireless 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth® 4.2 modules designed for fast roaming and greater productivity. The upgraded connectivity features work well in Wi-Fi networks with multiple access points to ensure that no data is lost when roaming about a facility and crossing from one access point to another.

The upgraded printers include compatibility with SOTI Connect, an enterprise mobility management software for greater visibility into real-time data on the health and performance of entire fleets of printers. The SOTI Connect remote printer management platform gives users the power to manage and configure settings on thousands of printers from a single touchpoint from anywhere around the world.

Printhead management has also been vastly improved across all of the upcoming models to feature active dot check and upgraded printhead mechanisms. The printhead mechanisms have the ability to check and report bad dots on the printhead in real-time. Users receive an alert to replace a faulty printhead in advance and avoid downtime across all of their upgraded TSC printer models.

The upgraded printheads now include a new feature to store printhead usage within the printhead mechanism. This allows users to have a clear indication of their printhead’s status and output level for an improved insight of printhead health and replacement status. The ability to capture printhead usage directly on the replaceable printhead mechanism makes the upgraded models an attractive option for customers looking to replace their existing printer models.

«We are continuously working to deliver the most up-to-date thermal printing technology to our customers,» said David Lundeen, VP of Marketing at TSC Printronix Auto ID. «Upgrades to modern wireless connectivity, adding compatibility to powerful enterprise mobility management platforms like SOTI Connect, and introducing better printhead management to protect against bad barcodes are all part of our commitment to our customers.»

Customers interested in upgrading their existing printer models now have the ability to do so with a wide range of options in this upgraded printer line-up. The new printer models bring unprecedented performance advancements to the market with high-value, competitive pricing options.

BOSTON, Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Cities around the world are coping with circumstances not experienced in over a century. The ongoing global health crisis has exposed and entrenched previously existing vulnerabilities in economic markets, social equity, and infrastructure investment. The work will utilize Orbia’s expertise in material innovation and draw on the intellectual heft of R-Cities members who are leaders in creating safe, smart, and equitable solutions in urban environments. Together with its business groups, Wavin, Netafim, and Dura-Line, Orbia and R-Cities members will identify materials, products and systems that value long-term savings over short-term costs and implement circularity-driven practices.

«As the world’s preeminent city-led urban resilience network, we at R-Cities are committed to identifying strategic partnerships with global leaders who bring cutting edge technologies to our city members,» said Lauren Sorkin, Executive Director of R-Cities. «Resilient infrastructure must be the way of the future if we are to protect urban dwellers from floods, pandemics, and the integrated challenges they face. DALLAS, Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Does Valentine’s Day bring you all those warm, fuzzy feelings, or does it unearth annual flashbacks of the former flame who did you wrong? For travelers with emotional baggage looking for closure and sweet revenge, Hotels.com® is listing the only stay suitable for a trash ex — a dumpster.

Now through Feb. 12 at 8 a.m. ET, visit hotels.com/vdaydumpsterstay to tell us why your ex deserves a stay in the dumps and where your dreamiest hotel stay would be. You’ll receive a totally fictional yet equally satisfying booking confirmation email for your ex’s figurative V-Day Dumpster Stay, and in return, you’ll be entered to win a suite reward for yourself in the form of a $300 Hotels.com gift card (with no expiration — so it’s ready for check-in when you are). Who said breakups have to suck?

That’s right — just booking your trashy ex a dumpster stay enters you to be rewarded your dream hotel stay — and we’re envisioning a classy penthouse suite. Now you both get to sleep where you belong!

Are they sleeping in an actual dumpster? No, we’re not THAT crazy, but imagine the satisfaction and closure you’ll get while sleeping in a plush, five-star hotel bed after sending them to the dumps. Like they say, revenge is a dish best served as room service, in bed, with a robe on, and nonstop cable TV playing. They do say that, right?

«If there are two truths on which we can all agree, it’s that we have a terrible ex who should be left in the past, and travel is always one of the best forms of self-love,» said Jennifer Dohm, Head of PR and Communications, North America. «That’s why Hotels.com is rewarding travelers looking for a way to move on and move up from their former flames this year with this one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day offer.»

Get ready to pack your bags because you may be one of the lucky 15 winners to snag a $300 Hotels.com gift card for your own «get over them» getaway. Winners will be notified by Friday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. ET — just in time for a self-love-filled V-Day stay or your future «get over them» getaway, whenever that may be.

It pays to be petty, especially when your ex is trash! For official terms and conditions, see here.

Cantu Beauty Announces Winners of Elevate Workshop Series in Partnership with 25 Black Women in Beauty

STAMFORD, Conn., Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Cantu Elevate, the latest initiative from <a target="_blank"…

STAMFORD, Conn., Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Cantu Elevate, the latest initiative from Cantu Beauty, an award-winning multicultural hair care brand, and ‘25 Black Women In Beauty‘ (25BWB) has selected the winners of the beauty business accelerator: Alicia Scott of Range Beauty, Arah Sims of Kyutee Nails, and Tomi Alisha of NaturAll Club. Each winner participated in the Cantu Elevate workshop series last fall and was chosen out of more than 60 women-led beauty businesses to receive a Cantu-sponsored campaign valued at $160,000. Scott, Sims, and Alisha advanced in the selection process through their enthusiastic efforts and engagement during the workshops and coupled with their innovative product offerings, captured the attention of Cantu.

«With black entrepreneurs, especially women, starting businesses at a higher rate we wanted to provide a catalyst for these businesses to succeed,» says Dametria Mustin, Vice President of Global Marketing at Cantu Beauty. «After learning more about these amazing women-led businesses, I’m inspired by what they were able to take away from the experience to help navigate the shifts taking place in the beauty industry.»

As an entrepreneur, there is always room for continued education. During this transformative season, Cantu Beauty will team up with The Sasha Group (a VaynerX company) and Reddish to work directly with each womenpreneur to continue the journey of strengthening their brand. Together, Cantu, Sasha, and Reddish will use their respective expertise to help build a brand marketing campaign or e-commerce presence for each beauty brand to launch in spring 2021.

Sims, Alisha, and Scott will focus specifically on their business challenges to take their brand to new heights in the beauty space. After gaining public approval, Kyutee Nails, a direct-to-consumer nail glam company, came to fame using advanced technology to create nail polish art peel-n-press. Popular influencers and celebrities caught on and the trendy designs got exposed to over 20 million social platform users. Sims wants to leverage this opportunity to present Kyutee Nails as an innovative brand that fuses beauty with a purpose and revitalizes its e-commerce strategy.

NaturAll is seeking to set a new beauty standard by only using fresh, frozen, natural, and non-toxic ingredients to hand-make healthy hair formulas that provide ultra hydration. Vegan and cruelty-free makeup brand Range Beauty focuses on clean products for the forgotten shades, utilizing botanicals in makeup to create special formulas for acne and eczema-prone skin. Both brands are looking to learn how to manage a successful marketing campaign using the latest measurement tools to compare their metrics against other start-up competitors.

«The workshops were a great reminder to always tap back into our ‘why’ and ‘who’,» says Alicia Scott of Range Beauty. «My favorite part of the workshops was actually our homework after the first session. Writing out my North Star and thinking through my audience in more detail helped me think about our marketing efforts in a more targeted way.»

Cantu Beauty created Elevate with its marketing partners to provide access and education to help Black, female-led beauty businesses thrive economically within this new beauty landscape. Through guided workshops and a grant program, Cantu will continue its work with 25 BWB to provide a platform that accelerates continued growth for beauty businesses.

STAMFORD, Conn., Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Cantu Elevate, the latest initiative from Cantu Beauty, an award-winning multicultural hair care brand, and ‘25 Black Women In Beauty‘ (25BWB) has selected the winners of the beauty business accelerator: Alicia Scott of Range Beauty, Arah Sims of Kyutee Nails, and Tomi Alisha of NaturAll Club.

Cantu Elevate 2021 Winners: Kyutee Nails, NatruAll, and Range Beauty

Father and Son Team Form Legal Sports Gambling Business

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — In years gone by a son would frequently graduate college and enter the family business – but the new era of legal sports betting changed that for 23-year-old Troy Paul.

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — In years gone by a son would frequently graduate college and enter the family business – but the new era of legal sports betting changed that for 23-year-old Troy Paul.

A 2020 business graduate from N.Y.U., Troy told his Dad «Legal sports betting is going to be huge!» Eleven states have embraced legalizing sports betting, and many others, including New York, about to join the multi-billion-dollar party, with the NBA, NFL also getting on board.

Troy’s father, Mark Paul, is perhaps an unusual Dad…as he is the #1 selling gambling author in the United States with his book The Greatest Gambling Story Ever Told soaring to #1 on Amazon Best Sellers. «At first I was skeptical we could compete with billion-dollar gambling companies, but Troy found a great niche opportunity in the ‘Affiliate’ business marketing model, and we launched Sports Gambling Guides, LLC.«

The firm provides avid sports fans with up to the minute articles and stats on players and teams that may lead to profitable betting situations, along with the real time odds from multiple online sports bookmakers, ensuring their clients get the best available odds. Having obtained eight sports gaming licenses/permits, they now receive fees for connecting sports bettors to legal on-line sports betting operators such as Draft Kings and Rush Street.

Troy utilizes all forms of social media marketing, with their Instagram quickly acquiring over 15,000 followers «What do men do in their time off? They watch sports, bet on sports, they live for sports,» says Troy, «and soon they will be legally betting on game day action via their cell phones. It’s an exciting time!»

Troy Paul may be the youngest licensed gambling executive in the United States.

New Research: Interest Rate, Economy Top Financial Institutions’ Concerns for 2021

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — A new research report from Cornerstone Advisors reveals that while nearly half of mid-size bank and credit union executives are more optimistic about 2021 relative to 2020, they remain especially concerned about the interest rate environment and a weak…

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — A new research report from Cornerstone Advisors reveals that while nearly half of mid-size bank and credit union executives are more optimistic about 2021 relative to 2020, they remain especially concerned about the interest rate environment and a weak economy.

What’s Going On In Banking 2021: Rebounding from the Pandemic, authored by Ron Shevlin, Cornerstone research director and noted fintech expert, identifies the concerns, priorities, fintech plans and future forecasts of 260 community-based financial institutions.

A key finding in this year’s report revolves around digital transformation. Just a handful of surveyed institutions indicate they have completed their digital transformation strategy. «Quite frankly, we have our doubts about that,» the report counters, «as all of them didn’t even launch a strategy until 2019.» Based on survey responses, Cornerstone estimates that most institutions have a six- to eight-year timeframe to complete their digital transformation journey.

Other select study findings:

  • Both banks and credit unions consider revenue generation opportunities a technology spending priority this year.
  • 42% of banks and 35% of credit unions are very interested in partnering with fintechs for digital account opening in 2021.
  • The number of executives who see Big Tech firms (Apple, Amazon, Google) as a major threat declined significantly from last year.
  • The percentage of banks placing a high priority on commercial real estate loans dropped sharply from 76% in 2020 to 45% this year.

The report also presents Shevlin’s Top Trends for 2021, which explores shifts in the financial services value chain across a number of areas including small business relationships, fintech-as-a-service platforms, and fintech-powered core system workarounds.

«Changes (or disruptions) to the value chain have certainly been in the works for a while now,» Shevlin maintains, «but 2021 is going to shine a much brighter spotlight on those activities—making 2021 the year of value chain disruption in banking and fintech.»

This year’s report is the result of Cornerstone’s sixth annual What’s Going On In Banking study.

Cornerstone Advisors, a management and technology consulting firm, brings innovative insights and execution to help banks and credit unions reach the next level of performance. For more information, visit crnrstone.com.
