ORANGE, Calif., Aug. 5, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — The Alliance of Channel Women, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of female channel leaders in technology, announced today that it has invited diversity expert Risha Grant to deliver a virtual keynote, addressing the present social unrest, racial injustice and real steps we can take now to promote inclusion. The ACW Virtual Event, Where Do We Go From Here?, is set for 4 p.m. ET, Friday, August 14.

Grant, one of the foremost experts on diversity and inclusion, delivered a standing-room-only keynote address on «Embracing Diversity,» at ACWConnect Live! Networking Event last fall during Channel Partners Evolution in Washington D.C.

«Risha is one of the most popular speakers we’ve had at an ACW event,» said ACW President Amy Bailey, Vice President of Marketing at Telarus. «Her remarks about diversity and inclusion were both candid and practical. She inspired a lot of introspection among our members and attendees. One year later, we’ve invited her to continue the conversation because we believe her insights and advice are even more relevant in light of the social unrest in our country today.»

Grant is author of «That’s BS! How Bias Synapse Disrupts Inclusive Cultures and the Power to Attract Diverse Markets.» Her interest in societal «isms» like racism, sexism, classism and plain old «stupidism» began when she was still a student. Today, she is founder and CEO of Risha Grant LLC, an award-winning diversity consulting and communications firm. Her mission is to create an inclusive culture in every company and community.

Grant has worked with governors, NBA teams, mayors, CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and other business and community leaders to reduce bias and further the understanding of diversity and inclusion. She teaches and empowers clients and audiences with tools to increase their bottom line and permission to get rid of their B.S.

During the ACW Virtual Event, Grant will address the questions, Where do we go from here? What are the next steps that we need to take as individuals to help to repair the rifts and move toward a society that’s both diverse and inclusive? In her no-holds-barred style, Grant will share her perspectives as a woman of color and also her prescriptions as a diversity expert. She’ll share hard truths about unconscious bias, micro-aggressions and other actions that perpetuate discrimination and inequality. And, she’ll offer some practical advice for finding respect, understanding and inclusion.

The ACW Virtual Event is free for women and men in the channel to attend, but we request that you register in advance. Click here to register.
