In line with the recent announcement of their Growth Equity Round, the company is further developing their Automotive business and opening a new office in Asia-Pacific (APAC) to meet rapidly increasing market demand.

Automotive electronics are in the midst of the next wave of innovation, and with the recent funding we are strongly positioned to deliver maximum value in this high-growth market.»

proteanTecs also announced further expansion with investment in the APAC region, opening an office in Hsinchu, Taiwan to provide local support to customers and increase strategic activities with key ecosystem partners across the semiconductor and electronics industries.

Joining the company to lead the regional expansion is Mrs. Vivian Chou as Regional Director, Greater China. Keith Morton, EVP Worldwide Sales, said: «APAC is a fast-growing region for us, and we are fortunate to be expanding our footprint in this environment. With a local team in Taiwan, we will be able to offer an enhanced customer experience in the Greater China area. We look forward to providing localized support, partnering more closely, and deploying the most suitable resources proteanTecs has to offer.»

The company was founded in 2017 with headquarters in Israel and has since grown to include offices in two U.S. locations —San Francisco and New Jersey; and four international locations – Haifa, Israel, Tel-Aviv, Israel, Munich, Germany and the newly-opened office in Hsinchu, Taiwan.

Subaru Breaks GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ Title For The Largest Parade Of Subaru Cars

CAMDEN, N.J., Oct. 7, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) today announced it has broken the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the largest parade of Subaru cars with 1,751 Subaru vehicles, three times as many vehicles as the previous record.

The parade, organized by the 2020 Subaru Tecnica International Subiefest, took place at the OC Fair & Expo Center in Costa Mesa, CA on Sunday, October 4. The parade spanned two miles and included 1,751 Subaru vehicles driven by Subaru owners.

The record for largest parade of Subaru cars was previously broken in 2015 with a total of 549 vehicles.

Subaru Tecnica International (STI) Subiefest is one of the largest annual gatherings of Subaru enthusiasts in the U.S. This year, STI Subiefest offered an alternative to its traditional festival by organizing a parade that ensured attendees’ safety during the pandemic and made history.

In lieu of ticket sales this year, SOA asked for a donation to Feeding America from each registration who participated in the record-attempt. The gracious donations from the participants will provide 241,800 meals. SOA will match the donations, bringing the total number of meals to 500,000.

Feeding America will deliver the meals to two local food banks – Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Second Harvest Orange County.

«In these trying times we all search for stability in our daily lives,» said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Subaru of America. «We hope that through this donation to Feeding America, we can provide the comfort and stability of a meal for people who struggle with hunger in America. We must all stay safe but remember to help others where we can.»

The automaker’s donation follows its significant partnership with Feeding America to help provide 50 million meals to people most impacted by COVID-19. As the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization with a nationwide network of 200-member food banks, Subaru, along with its retailers, is providing crucial assistance to help communities hit hardest by the pandemic get back on their feet.

Wings Over North Georgia Drive-In Air Show a Homecoming for Some U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Team Members

ROME, Ga., Oct. 7, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Rome will serve as a homecoming site for several members of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds this month.  <a target="_blank"…

ROME, Ga., Oct. 7, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Rome will serve as a homecoming site for several members of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds this month.  The Wings Over North Georgia Drive-In Air Show will take place Oct. 24-25 at the Russell Regional Airport.

The event offers Atlanta– and Chattanooga-area residents a rare opportunity to see America’s «Ambassadors in Blue.» Most air shows were forced to cancel during the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  After careful coordination with county and state agencies, the decision was made to host the two-day, «tailgate-style» air show in Rome using a drive-in format.

The air show in Rome will be in familiar surroundings as some team members perform for family and friends not far from their hometowns.

Capt. Remoshay Nelson, Thunderbird 12, is from Douglasville, GA and leads the team’s marketing, publicity, and community relations program. Following graduation from Douglas County High School, Nelson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Air Force. Since her commission, Nelson has held numerous public affairs positions across the globe, the most recent appointment as the Thunderbird’s first female African American officer. She recently participated in the «America Strong» flyovers of nine cities, including the Atlanta area, honoring healthcare and frontline workers.

The parents and family of Master Sgt. Thomas «Nathan» Clonts won’t have far to travel to see their son during the 2020 air show. Clonts is a native of Rome, GA and also serves as the Maintenance Production Superintendent for the Thunderbirds. He enlisted in the Air Force after graduating from Armuchee High School in 2001. The return to northwest Georgia during the fall season’s display of brilliant orange, red, and yellow leaves is a significant change from his current surroundings at Nellis Air Force Base, NV.

Tech. Sgt. Antwaun Westerfield is the APG Flight Chief for the Thunderbird’s Aircraft, Powerplant and general aviation section. Atlanta is his hometown. Westerfield enlisted in the U.S. Air Force following graduation from Morrow High School 18 years ago. While serving, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia University. Westerfield is well-versed in the aircraft avionic systems for F-16s and has spent a majority of his military career working on the elite fighting aircraft.

Staff Sgt. Jimmy Navar hails from Jonesboro, GA and serves as a Fuels System Technician for the team. He graduated from Jonesboro High School in 2014 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 2015. He works inside and outside of fuel tanks to remove, repair, inspect, install, and modify aircraft fuel systems. Navar was stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Base in Arizona prior to joining the team.

The 2020 Wings Over North Georgia Drive-In Air Show also will feature performances by the U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II,  F-16 Viper, and C-17 Globemaster II demonstration teams and the U.S. Army Special Operations Command Black Daggers Parachute Team.

Parking gates open at 10 a.m. and pre-show aerial demonstrations begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Pre-show activities include airdrops and capabilities demonstrations from the C-130-H3 Hercules aircraft from Dobbins Air Reserve Base. The SWAT Tactical Team from the Georgia State Patrol helicopter unit also will conduct demonstrations.

Parking tickets for the Drive-In Air Show are ADVANCE PURCHASE only and will not be sold on show days.  Each vehicle will be assigned a 10-by-20-foot space with an adjacent 10-by-20-foot private viewing area for tailgating. For a full list of permitted and restricted items, please visit Wings Over North Georgia for more details.

«Together We Win», The Rockefeller Foundation & Google.org Further Commitment To Black & Latino-Led Businesses Affected By COVID-19

OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 7, 2020 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — «Together We Win» | «Juntos Ganamos», a campaign geared towards encouraging consumers to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic, is collaborating with The Rockefeller Foundation…

OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 7, 2020 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — «Together We Win» | «Juntos Ganamos», a campaign geared towards encouraging consumers to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic, is collaborating with The Rockefeller Foundation Opportunity Collective (ROC) to expand its nationwide efforts and deepen its long-term commitment to help those Black and Latino-owned businesses in need and the communities in which they reside. A specific focus of this effort are those underrepresented small businesses employing the most vulnerable groups affected by COVID-19. This effort will complement the initial pledge of «Together We Win» and provide support to more than 10 cities across the United States, and builds on Hispanic in Philanthropy’s PowerUp Fund efforts, funded by Google.org, to directly support hundreds of Latino-owned SMBs with access to capital and the training they need to overcome the economic downturn and continue to grow.

ROC aims to catalyze public and private sector investment in places to promote more inclusive growth, both in the post-pandemic recovery and over the long term, and is an ideal partner for «Together We Win» as it allows the campaign to focus on those cities and communities home to Black and Latino-owned SMBs most affected including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, El Paso, Houston, Louisville, Miami, Newark, Norfolk and Oakland. The Rockefeller Foundation has pledged an initial $10 million, which it will allocate to a collective of government, business, faith-based, and non-profit partners in these 10 cities, all of which have two core goals: protecting communities and eliminating barriers to access capital and credit among low wage workers and small businesses operated by women, Black and Latino owners.

«We are excited by the renaissance of partners interested in supporting BIPOC entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is a demonstrated means to economic independence. This investment supports the ability of Latinx entrepreneurs, who have opened businesses at almost double the rate of business openings for any other demographic group in recent years. They are critical to the local and national economies – providing jobs and local essential goods and services to low income or vulnerable groups. This investment furthers our goal of helping these vulnerable enterprises stabilize, scale, and grow to the benefit of their families and communities,» said Gregory Johnson, Director, U.S. Equity and Economic Opportunity, The Rockefeller Foundation.

The «Together We Win» campaign, created by Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP), Ureeka and  The Flo Lab, was launched in June 2020, and has since succeeded in identifying Black and Latino-owned SMBs needing support, providing them with the tools to aid them in their recovery and prosperity through the pandemic and for years to come. With a focus on traditional small businesses, the objective of the campaign and this partnership is not purely financial, but rather intended to empower business owners by giving them access to resources to benefit their SMBs and local communities. From encouraging them to have conversations with policymakers, key opinion leaders, local organizations and financial institutions, to showing them how opening a dialogue and getting involved will help foster a greater understanding of what is available, how «Together We Win» can help, and ultimately equip them to make vital business decisions with lasting impact.

«When we conceived ‘Together We Win’, we wanted to create more than a campaign – we wanted a movement, a seismic shift – to help businesses recover and regain their footing now in the short term, while providing them with the tools and resources to stay open and prosper in the long term,» said Nancy Santiago, Co-Founder of the PowerUp Fund, HIP Senior Advisor. «Now with the endorsement of The Rockefeller Foundation Opportunity Collective and Google.org, we have additional means to really extend our reach and make a sizable impact on hard hit communities at a national level.»

Get Involved, Together We Win!

Help support this community of SMBs through various programs, resources and financial solutions that position each for sustainability and growth – not just survivability. Among those benefiting from the campaign are Liliana Monge of Sabio and Alejandro Flores-Muñoz of Unum Sunglasses, among others. Visit the «Together We Win» Business Hub to find a Black or Latino-owned SMB you can support. #ShopBlack #ShopLatino

The «Together We Win» campaign believes in the power of community and invites individuals to participate to help amplify their message of support, as well as initiatives for the Black and Latino business community.

As the campaign evolves, «Together We Win» aims to be a reliable and comprehensive resource for SMBs as well as individuals, brands and corporations. The «Together We Win» website serves as a central hub for communities, businesses and benefactors, providing critical information about campaign operations.

5 Reasons Autonomous Technology is a Game Changer for Industry 4.0

NEW YORK, Oct. 7, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) announced today the release of a user survey to capture how companies, organizations, and agencies use the Standardization Roadmap for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Version 2.0)which was published by the ANSI Unmanned Aircraft Systems Standardization Collaborative (UASSC) in June 2020. Version 2.0 of the roadmap includes expanded content and identification of additional standardization needs not included in Version 1.0. ANSI is seeking user input regarding the use and effectiveness of the roadmap to assist in future work efforts. The roadmap is available as a free download at www.ansi.org/uassc.

Launched in 2017, the ANSI UASSC is working to coordinate and accelerate the development of the standards and related conformance programs needed to facilitate the safe integration of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) into the U.S. national airspace system, with international coordination and adaptability. Some 400 individuals from 250 public- and private-sector organizations supported the roadmap’s development, including representatives of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), other U.S. federal government agencies, standards developing organizations (SDOs), industry, academia, and others.

The roadmap identifies published standards and standards in development, assesses gaps, and makes recommendations for priority areas where there is a perceived need for additional standardization including pre-standardization research and development (R&D). The roadmap covers the full range of topics related to UAS: airworthiness; flight operations; personnel training, qualifications, and certification; infrastructure inspections; environmental applications; commercial services; workplace safety; and public safety operations. The roadmap aims to support the growth of the UAS market with an emphasis on civil, commercial, and public safety applications. Its recommendations are envisaged to be widely adopted by the standardization community.

Mitsubishi Motors Supports Female Military Veterans For 2020 Rebelle Rally

FRANKLIN, Tenn., Oct. 7, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) announces its support for Team <a target="_blank"…

FRANKLIN, Tenn., Oct. 7, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) announces its support for Team Record the Journey (RTJ), a nonprofit-based entry in the 2020 Rebelle Rally. The Rebelle Rally is the first all-women’s off-highway navigation rally raid in the U.S. and the longest competition of its kind in the lower 48 states. This year, MMNA and RTJ will make history by contesting the rally in a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, the first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) to compete in the event, as Rebelle organizers open the rugged competition to electrified vehicles for the first time.

RTJ founder and experienced team navigator Sergeant Major Rachael Ridenour, a 32-year U.S. Army combat veteran, will pair up with driver Master Sergeant Kristie Levy, a 25-year U.S. Army combat veteran and current federal law enforcement officer. Levy was selected by Ridenour, a multi-time Rebelle competitor and past winner, after a national search by the nonprofit for a female veteran with the heart, grit and tenacity to tackle the 10-day, 2,000 km navigational rally.

«Record the Journey stands for those who never stop challenging, never give up and never stop driving ambition. We are proud to support them with the quality, dependability and reliability built into every Mitsubishi vehicle, and are excited to enter the first ever PHEV in the Rebelle Rally,» said MMNA Chief Operating Officer Mark Chaffin. «The Rebelle Rally is the ultimate test of teamwork, vehicle reliability, and the ability to overcome obstacles. Our continued partnership with Team Record the Journey proudly stands in support of everyone who says ‘I can do that’ in the face of adversity.»

Described as «the ultimate road trip,» the 2020 Rebelle Rally runs October 7-18, starting on the slopes of Lake Tahoe and ending in the Imperial Dunes of Glamis, east of San Diego. MMNA has produced a short film encouraging all to ride along with Team RTJ on the 2020 Rebelle.

Team RTJ is no stranger to making history. Last year, the team piloted a minimally modified Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross – affectionately named by the team as «Rosie the Riveter» – to second place in the Crossover class, with seven-year U.S. Air Force veteran Karah Behrend at the wheel. Behrend became the first adaptive athlete ever to complete the Rebelle, and the pair were honored with the 2019 Rebelle Rally Team Spirit Award. Taking inspiration from Rosie the Riveter and the 2019 team, Ridenour and Levy have dubbed their white, red and silver 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV «Electra.»

RTJ is dedicated to assisting military veterans with a successful transition back into civilian life. The nonprofit utilizes outdoor photography adventures to help veterans process their military experiences, including combat, injury and loss. Photography allows expression and engagement without words, making an often difficult process a little easier.

«The transition from a military deployment to arriving at home with your family can be abrupt and disorienting,» said Ridenour. «Through my own process, I realized that when you’re looking through the lens of a camera, you’re forced to be in the present, not thinking about the past or the future. You can express yourself without having to use words, and it’s an activity that you can easily share with others to reestablish human connection.»

RTJ was the first nonprofit to receive a loan of a Community Utility Vehicle through MMNA’s «Small Batch – Big Impact» corporate social responsibility initiative. For more information on the Small Batch – Big Impact initiative and MMNA’s CUV program, visit www.mitsubishicars.com/community.

Additional partners supporting Team Record the Journey include Ally Financial, BFGoodrich TiresDMOS Shovels, Off-Road Like a Girl, Productive Flourishing, Power Innovations, Road Race Engineering and Vision Wheel.
