Diseño exterior 

Con un llamativo acabado mate, el prototipo de la MDX, que se muestra en Liquid Carbon y en Performance Red, llama la atención con su diseño más dinámico y robusto. La rejilla vertical y el capó largo y esculpido transmiten vigor y presencia, y están anclados a un cuerpo aún más bajo y ancho con laterales abultados y una cabina más retirada hacia atrás, lo que permite un aumento de 6 pulgadas en la dimensión del tablero al eje.

Los elementos característicos del lenguaje de diseño de próxima generación de Acura están elegantemente integrados con la nueva forma superior y más atlética de la MDX, incluida una rejilla Diamond Pentagon tridimensional flanqueada por faros LED JewelEye® de cuatro elementos, destacados por luces de conducción diurna LED Chicane™, inspiradas en el auto de carreras Acura ARX-05.
