SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator

WINDSOR, Conn., Feb. 22, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — <a target="_blank"…

WINDSOR, Conn., Feb. 22, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSNC) today announced that the SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator for February 2021 measured 2.37%, up from 1.78% in January.

SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator

«SS&C GlobeOp’s Forward Redemption Indicator of 2.37% for February 2021 reflects a 16% reduction in redemption notices compared to 2.83% reported a year ago,» said Bill Stone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, SS&C Technologies. «The 2.37% reading for February 2021 also marks the eighth consecutive month of lower year-over-year redemptions, as well as the lowest redemption level for any month of February since the Forward Redemption Indicator’s inception in 2006. Hedge fund asset retention has been generally very strong at the industry level since the COVID-19 outbreak first roiled markets in early 2020.»

The SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator represents the sum of forward redemption notices received from investors in hedge funds administered by SS&C GlobeOp on the SS&C GlobeOp platform, divided by the AuA at the beginning of the month for SS&C GlobeOp fund administration clients on the SS&C GlobeOp platform. Forward redemptions as a percentage of SS&C GlobeOp’s assets under administration on the SS&C GlobeOp platform have trended significantly lower since reaching a high of 19.27% in November 2008. The next publication date is March 19, 2021.

Published on the 15th business day of the month, the SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator presents a timely and accurate view of the redemption pipeline for investors in hedge funds on the SS&C GlobeOp administration platform. Movements in the Indicator reflect investor confidence in their allocations to hedge funds. Indicator data is based on actual investor redemption notifications received. Unlike subscriptions, redemption notifications are typically received 30-90 days in advance of the redemption date. Investors may, and sometimes do, cancel redemption notices. In addition, the establishment and enforcement of redemption notices may vary from fund to fund.

Karma Metrix by Avantgrade Helps Websites Measure and Improve Their Eco-sustainability

BALERNA, Switzerland, Feb. 22, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — The climate emergency is the great challenge of our generation, a top priority for states and companies: Karma Metrix is an innovative algorithm with an artificial intelligence heart that aims to measure the eco-sustainability of websites and help reduce their impact on the environment.

Like plastic, the web also pollutes: according to the Global Carbon Project, in 2020 the Internet was the fourth country in the world for energy consumption, behind only the United States, China and India. The reasons? The energy needed to operate the servers and the inefficient ways of building and maintaining web pages.

To make a site more eco-sustainable, the first step is to measure the actual energy efficiency and the C02 emitted. Karma Metrix can quantify the «ecological performance» of a website through an algorithm that weighs 23 website efficiency factors compared to the world median built on over 9 million sites, both desk and mobile.

In case that the Karma test highlights a CO2 emission too high or that can be improved, Karma Metrix allows identifying the critical areas on each page of the site on which to intervene to increase energy efficiency, consequently reducing polluting emission.

The Karma Metrix – Energy Efficient Website certificate certifies both the energy efficiency class and the CO2 emissions of the entire website. Many companies that want to combine attention to the environment with digital have included the «Karma result» in the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) indicators and in the annual corporate sustainability report (CSR).

Karma Metrix – Energy Efficient Website is an idea of www.Avantgrade.com, a Swiss company specializing in artificial intelligence applied to algorithms.

«In an increasingly digitalized world, Karma Metrix – Energy Efficient Website is an immediate tool capable of raising public awareness on issues of digital sustainability,» declares Ale Agostini creator of the Karma Metrix. «The goal is that by 2022 every company in the world will measure and improve the energy efficiency and sustainability of the web presence.» If you want to know quickly how eco-sustainable one of your web pages is, visit our site and make the demo of Karma Test at this link: https://bit.ly/3u5W6Jg

SEOUL, South Korea, Feb. 22, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Hyundai Mobis (KRX: 012330) announced on February 22 that the company became the first in the world to develop an HLED that can be bent flexibly like a thin film. Now, a single LED can serve as both the stop lamp and the tail lamp at the same time with only 5.5mm thickness of the LED surface.

Hyundai Mobis named this new rear lamp system HLED, which signifies high performance, high definition and homogeneity.

Most vehicles today have the tail lamp and stop lamp separately under the safety laws. According to the laws, the stop lamp must be much brighter than the tail lamp.

However, the HLED, developed by Hyundai Mobis, allows the tail lamp and the stop lamp to be implemented with a single LED by just controlling the light with electrical signals.

Moreover, the HLED can generate bright and uniform stop light even when it is bent by emitting light in five different directions. As a result, the rear lamp will be more visible to the drivers of the vehicles approaching from the rear and side.

Compared to the existing ream lamp, HLED can create various lamp design since it can be bent or curved. It is also possible to secure more space and offer lower weight, as it removes all the internal components used for existing rear lamp by controlling light with the new LED alone.

Hyundai Mobis has passed the reliability tests of Europe (ECE) and the US (SAE) related to tail lamps and stop lamps. It has already received orders from European automakers and is currently conducting mass-production development of HLED.

«We will accelerate technology development and introduce the lamp technology customized for future automobiles as represented by electrification and autonomous driving.», said Oh Heung-sup, the head of the Lamp BU at Hyundai Mobis.
