NEW YORK, Feb. 24, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Speleologist Vincenzo Albertini is President of the Naples Underground Association and an archaeological specialist. He has dedicated his life’s work to discovering and beautifying this historic marvel of a city so that millions around the world can enjoy this well-buried slice of Neapolitan history and life, even today.

The geological marvel that is Naples Underground (Napoli Sotterranea) carries within it, the crossing of many worlds, but most notably, there exist two underworlds that offer unique insight into the magical history of the landscape as well as the cultural steeping of the Napoli identity.

In one of the underworlds, further into the sub-surface of the unique Neapolitan yellow tuff, one can discover an architecturally complex development of reservoirs. Tracing back to the entry of the Romans in the Augustan age, an extensive water network, with a large number of reservoirs, was built under the city of Naples. These wells and reservoirs were maintained in the Middle Ages and through to the nineteenth century. However, under the life and city-swelling up above, they also began to bury the dead beneath the surface. It was towards the end of the nineteenth century, that the cholera epidemic forced Neapolitans to abandon this intricate water system, which now leaves today, over 14 thousand wells and about a thousand entrances to the underground city.

Also underneath the famous city, there is another Napoli underworld: an underground network of about 2 million square meters amongst which one can find quite an assortment of galleries, caves, places of worship, and mysterious monuments as well as a collection of innumerable skulls. The Naples built by the Greeks and Romans ended up underground, as it was used in the Second World War to shelter women and children from the bombings, and was also well known by the old cigarette smugglers and criminals. Many may not know that this city underground is as big as a third of the surface city. However, those who know best would say that there is still a lot to explore, and taking a meander without expert guides is not recommended.

Today, one can meander through the guided tour by a member of Albertini’s expert team, and can still find many treasures such as toys, furnishings, and furniture that many had brought from their home. There is also a «room of the spouses» which was where weddings could be celebrated during the bombings of world war II, and it was also the point from which it was possible to leave.

These underworlds along with many other historical monuments, all collide within this world under a city called Naples underground (Napoli Sotterranea) – a rich capsule in life before we know it, yet still resonating through the Napoli culture even today.

Survey Finds that Most Americans are Not Completely Satisfied with Their Current Auto Service Provider

KENNESAW, Ga., Feb. 24, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — UpSwell, a marketing firm that specializes in helping local businesses expand their customer base, today announced the findings of their recent auto service consumer survey. The survey provides key insights into consumer attitudes and behavior when it comes to selecting an auto service provider, including the fact that most consumers are not always happy with their provider.

«Only 34 percent of consumers are always satisfied with their auto service provider,» said Nelson Rodenmayer, SVP of Sales and Marketing at UpSwell. «That means that 66 percent of consumers are potentially open to going somewhere else. We want to help auto shop owners tap into that 66 percent market share and get more customers into their shop.»

When it comes to what constitutes good auto service, 78 percent of respondents believe that fair prices equate to good auto service, which won out against good communication, honesty, timeliness, and respect. Another finding worth noting are the top three most enticing offers identified in the survey: free tire rotation with oil change, discounted oil change, and a loyalty program.

The survey also found that 36 percent of respondents get their car serviced two times per year. However, the older the respondent, the more likely they were to get their car serviced more often. Another interesting finding that varied by age was where respondents prefer to get their vehicle repairs. Respondents between the ages of 25 – 29 preferred to go to a national repair chain more than any of the older age groups. This could be a result of young Millennials’ reliance on researching companies before using them, giving providers with a stronger online presence an advantage.

However, overall, the findings were most favorable for local repair shops, as 52 percent of people surveyed prefer to get their vehicle repairs done at a local shop while 35 percent prefer a dealer/brand specialist and 10 percent prefer national chains. This is in line with the push we have seen in recent years to support local businesses as well as the fact that consumer trust is often higher in local businesses than it is in national chains.

Another interesting finding was that the majority, 57 percent, of respondents get their tires from a tire dealer, while 37 percent get their tires from an auto shop. While this is good news for tire shops it can also provide motivation for auto shops to bring tire sales in house to create a more seamless customer experience and increase their sales.

The consumer auto service survey was conducted in January 2021 and included 1,071 vehicle owners in the United States, aged 25-54. For the full survey results reach out to grow@upswellmarketing.com. Research and Markets Logo

The Global Automotive Head-Up Display (HUD) Market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 18% during the forecast period.

The market for automotive head-up display is growing due to the increasing adoption rate of advanced technologies by OEMs, the growing connected cars market and increasing adoption of advance driver assistance systems globally.

In terms of technology, conventional HUD technology is predicted to account for the largest share in the Global Automotive Head-Up Display (HUD) Market during the forecast period.

LONDON, Feb. 24, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Delta Air Lines has been named the second best airline in the world according to eDreams – one of Europe’s largest online travel agency brands – in its most recent ‘Best Airlines in the World’ Report. The survey has been updated this year to reflect the unique and complicated year faced by travellers and airlines alike, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Top 3 airlines

Qatar Airways took top spot in the world rankings, proving to be consistently excellent across the board, scoring top marks for airline refunds and ticket flexibility in particular. Delta Air Lines came in second with unwavering commitment to passenger safety and customer refunds. In third place was Japan’s largest airline, All Nippon Airways, ranking highly for customer satisfaction, refunds and the implementation of new safety measures. A second US airline, United, just made it into the top ten, in 10th place.

Best for refunds

In the top 10 rankings, British Airways, Qatar Airways and Delta Air Lines scored highest as best airlines for refunds.

Best for Reliability: Ticket flexibility and flight cancellations

Airline cancellations during the first COVID-19 lockdown were inevitable – a crucial step in reducing the spread of the virus. Qatar Airways cancelled the fewest scheduled flights and offered excellent ticket flexibility. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Turkish Airlines came in joint second place.

Best for Customer-Experience

Data collected from a survey of over 61,000 reviews sent to eDreams customers, showed that All Nippon Airways was voted the highest customer-rated airline based on the overall passenger experience and perceived value for money, followed closely by Qatar Airways.

Safety

Due to the spread of COVID-19, airlines have all increased and improved their health and safety protocols and implemented new measures to keep passengers safe. The airline with the most measures was Delta Air Lines, setting itself apart from the rest with its commitment to reducing capacity on board by blocking its middle seats.

Pablo Caspers, Chief Air Supply and Advertising Officer at eDreams ODIGEO, comments: «As the largest online travel agency in Europe, our priority during these uncertain months has been to remain loyal to our 17 million clients. This ‘Best Airlines in the World’ study offers consumers a clear understanding of the current travel market, particularly addressing consumers’ main concerns during the pandemic and allowing travellers to make more informed decisions when booking trips abroad. This study is another example of the added value that eDreams brings to travellers as a leading online travel agency.»

2021 Ram 1500 is the Only Pickup to Earn 2021 IIHS Top Safety Pick Rating

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 24, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — The 2021 Ram 1500 Crew Cab has earned a 2021 Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 24, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — The 2021 Ram 1500 Crew Cab has earned a 2021 Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

  • Equipped with the Advanced Safety Group, Ram 1500 is first and only pickup to earn Top Safety Pick rating from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) testing
  • Ram 1500 earns back-to-back, 2020 and 2021 Top Safety Pick from IIHS
  • Achieved highest possible ratings in each of six IIHS crashworthiness tests
  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) technology graded «superior;» among more than 100 available safety and security features on the 2021 Ram 1500

The rating applies to Ram 1500 Crew Cab models equipped with the Advanced Safety Group. Ram 1500 was the first pickup to achieve the Top Safety Pick rating and marks back-to-back (2020 and 2021) Top Safety Pick status from IIHS.

«A Top Safety Pick for the Ram 1500 solidifies our long-standing commitment to our customers through advanced technology and engineering expertise,» said Mike Koval Jr., Ram Brand Chief Executive Officer – Stellantis. «This validation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety builds consumer confidence in our trucks and the Ram brand.»

Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking is the latest IIHS requirement needed to earn Top Safety Pick status. Ram’s technology, which achieved an «advanced» rating, builds on the truck’s sensor-fusion Automatic Emergency Braking system.

Sensor-fusion combines camera technology with radar sensors to help determine if a frontal impact with another vehicle appears imminent. If, after multiple alerts, the driver does not respond to the risk, the system deploys the vehicle’s brakes to help avoid impact or reduce its severity.

To accommodate Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking, the range of the system’s radar technology is expanded to help identify pedestrians. If a collision appears imminent, the system responds in a manner similar to Automatic Emergency Braking to reduce or eliminate risk of impact, depending on conditions such as speed and proximity.

Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking is part of the Ram 1500’s available Advanced Safety Group package, which includes Lane Departure Warning-Plus, Rear Cross Path detection, Blind-spot Monitoring with trailer coverage and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Go and Hold.

Automatic Emergency Braking earned the highest possible rating – «superior» – in IIHS testing of the vehicle-to-vehicle scenario. It is standard equipment on Laramie, Rebel, Longhorn, Limited Longhorn and Limited trims.

The feature is also available on Tradesman and Bighorn trims with the Level 1 Equipment Group package.

Central to the truck’s evaluation was its performance in six IIHS crashworthiness tests that included three types of frontal crashes. The remaining tests inflict damage consistent with a side impact, rear impact and a rollover.

The Ram 1500 Crew Cab earned the highest possible score in each.

Ram 1500
The 2021 Ram 1500 is the no-compromise benchmark for durability, technology, efficiency, performance and convenience with features never before offered in a pickup. The Ram 1500 features up to 12,750 pounds of towing capability and 2,300 pounds of payload. The eTorque mild hybrid system delivers improved fuel efficiency in both V-6 (standard) and V-8 configurations. The Ram 1500 is America’s most powerful half-ton diesel pickup with 480 lb.-ft. of torque, and is rated at an unsurpassed 33 mpg highway, delivering up to 1,000 miles of range on a single tank of fuel.

The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX has been rigorously tested to handle the most punishing conditions with extreme capability and durability on its way to being the quickest, fastest and most powerful mass-produced half-ton pickup truck in the world.

As a segment disrupter, the Uconnect 4C with a massive 12-inch touchscreen leads the segment in technology, featuring split-screen capability, 360-degree camera views, and exclusive content from SiriusXM with 360L and Personalized Stations Powered by Pandora. The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is the first vehicle in the light-duty lineup to include the new Know & Go mobile app featuring an immersive experience for customers who want to learn more about their vehicles. Active safety and security systems include adaptive cruise control, Forward Collision Warning, Blind-spot Monitoring and Ready Alert Braking. Class-leading ride and handling are accomplished via a segment-exclusive link-coil rear suspension system with optional Active-level four-corner air suspension.

  • Segment first 1,000 lb.-ft of torque with Cummins Turbo Diesel
