Nylon, polyester, and rayon are some of the most commonly used materials for manufacturing of tire cord fabrics. Tire cord fabric reinforced rubber plies provide superior dimensional stability, durability, and load-carrying capacity to the tires. However, aramid fiber-based fabrics are witnessing rising adoption owing to its higher strength and low weight.

Major manufacturers are making increasing use of hybrid cord fabrics that comprise two different materials with different initial tangent modulus. These fabrics are progressively replacing steel cord based fabrics in the high-performance tires owing to their comparable performance characteristics and relatively lightweight property.

– Will instantly provide content through virtual tech-fair sand real-time product promotion to customers

– Use exhibits in the recently renovated M.Tech Gallery in R&D center near Seoul, to produce videos demonstrating the core components of future cars

SEOUL, South Korea, June 8, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Hyundai Mobis will boost overseas orders with various untact marketing activities as part of its response to changes in the global economy and social environment in the post COVID-19 era.

Hyundai Mobis M.Tech Gallery in R&D Center

«Hyundai Mobis is focusing on three types of untact marketing: Virtual Tech-Fair, Online real-time product promotion and Production of videos demonstrating core technologies to conduct differentiated order-receiving activities targeting global automakers,» said Lee Sung Hoon, Head of Auto Parts Sales Division. «Hyundai Mobis received orders for core components worth $1.75 billion from overseas automakers last year, and we are going to pick up speed to receive orders to the tune of $2.7 billion through untact marketing utilizing latest technologies.»

With constraints on direct sales and order-receiving activities based on traditional face-to-face contact, the company is seeking ways to create new sales opportunities. It is expected that the brand image of Hyundai Mobis, which is taking a leap to become a global technology leader in future cars, will be improved through preemptive untact marketing technology.

Hyundai Mobis is increasingly planning to produce Virtual Tech-Fair contents and proactively use them for sales and order-receiving activities given that offline events such as motor shows and technology expos will never be the same in the post COVID-19 era.

The content handled by the Virtual Tech-Fair is future technologies, such as autonomous driving sensors, electrification and connectivity, and new core technologies, such as braking, steering, lamps and airbags. The company will produce and share VR content with customers in the form of links for a certain period of time. Three-dimensional life-like VR content is expected to help customer understand technologies more effectively than when they see them in person.

Hyundai Mobis will carry out real-time product promotion activities using the online broadcasting platform. Customers will connect to the video system at a time they want, with data presentation, product demonstration and Q&A provided in real time. At a time when it is difficult for people to see each other and move from point A to point B due to COVID-19, the company expects to maintain close communication with customers online without any space-time constraints.

To this end, Hyundai Mobis is planning to install a system for real-time broadcasting and product demonstration inside the Technical Center. The company will have the capacity and infrastructure for quickly providing information on technologies to customers when they need it.

Until now few B2B (business to business transactions) companies used untact product promotion to advance into markets. In most cases, they participated in offline expos or professional technology expos, or visited customer sites for technology promotion.

In addition, Hyundai Mobis is going to make professional videos about key future car products, and use them for marketing. Rather than PR videos focusing on products and images, the content will feature researchers in charge of explaining the background, meaning and strong points of technology development. The company expects that it will be able to provide more detailed information to global customers through technical presentation videos.

In relation to this, Hyundai Mobis decided to make full use of the recently remodeled M.Tech Gallery inside the Technical Center in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do to make product videos. Its 66 new advanced technologies in future cars are on display at Hyundai Mobis M.Tech Gallery. The futuristic urban autonomous driving concept car ‘M.Vision S,’ which was exhibited at North American CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics and IT expo, is also on display at the M.Tech Gallery.

FORT WORTH, Texas, June 7, 2020 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ A race that started out ominously for Honda ended in triumph, as Scott Dixon dominated tonight’s season-opener, leading 157 of 200 laps around the Texas Motor Speedway oval to score his 47th career Indy car win.

Honda's Scott Dixon dominated Saturday night's NTT IndyCar Series season-opening race, leading 157 of 200 laps to score his 47th career IndyCar win.

The first race of the 2020 NTT INDYCAR SERIES, delayed three months by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, took place without spectators and with limited crew members on a hot night in Fort Worth, Texas.  With social distancing protocols preventing Honda engineers from assisting teams during the engine starting procedure on the grid, an issue with the spec series ECU resulted in Ryan Hunter-Reay, Graham Rahal and Alexander Rossi all going at least one lap down to the leaders in the opening laps.

At the front of the field, pole qualifier Josef Newgarden took the early lead, but it soon became apparent that Dixon and his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate, Felix Rosenqvist, had two of the quickest cars in the field.  Passing Newgarden for the lead on Lap 32, Dixon was rarely headed for the rest of the night, at times opening up leads of five seconds or more on the fast, 1.5-mile TMS oval.  The dominating win was the fourth for Dixon at Texas, and the 47th of his career. With the win, he tied A.J. Foyt’s record 18 seasons with at least one IndyCar victory, and extended his own consecutive season win record to 16.

Equally strong throughout the night, Rosenqvist appeared headed for a second-place finish behind his teammate, until a late-race crash while attempting to pass the lapped car of James Hinchcliffe sent Rosenqvist into the wall on Lap 191.

Behind Dixon, Zach Veach rebounded from a disappointing 2019 season with a strong run to fourth place, equaling his career-best previous Indy car finish.  Colton Herta steadily worked his way from 14th on the grid to finish seventh, while his Andretti Autosport teammate Ryan Hunter-Reay recovered from his dramas at the start to claw his way back on to the lead lap and an eighth-place result.

Making his first oval race start in any series, Indy car rookie Alex Palou was the innocent victim when his Dale Coyne Racing with Team Goh Honda was collected by a spinning fellow rookie, Rinus Veekay, on Lap 36.  Hinchcliffe’s first race back with Andretti Autosport was hobbled when a wheel nut jammed during his third pit stop, dropping him off the lead lap.  Takuma Sato was unable to take the green flag after crashing his Honda in qualifying.  With just two hours between qualifying and the race, his Rahal Letterman Lanigan team was unable to repair the damage in time for the early evening race start.

Quotes
Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing Honda) Started 2nd, finished 1st; 47th career Indy car victory, ties A.J. Foyt’s record of at least one Indy car in each of 18 seasons: «The car rolled off the trailer really fast.  We’ve also been using the Honda simulator in Indy for the last three weeks, and that was a big help in our preparation.  It’s not often you get an amazing car like this.  It was a fun night for us and a great way to get started back [racing] after a long break.  The Honda engine, it was huge, man, the power out there.  Our car was just so fast tonight, in any situation.  We had to make a couple of bold moves tonight, and we could just go for it.  Huge thanks to the team and everyone involved.»

Zach Veach (Andretti Autosport Honda) Started 5th, finished 4th, matches his career-best finish: «We had a really, really good night here in the Gainbridge Honda. I wanted to start 2020 off well because 2019 was so rough — and we came out here to Texas and got a top four [finish]. I’m just very happy. This kind of momentum will be great to go into the Indy Grand Prix and hopefully have the season we’ve been needing to have. The guys did an awesome job. My engineer, Mark Bryant, gave me a car that was amazing and my crew – they were awesome. That played a big part in a race with not many on-track passes. I’m just happy and a big thank you to Andretti Autosport.»

Allen Miller (Race Team Principal, Honda Performance Development) on tonight’s 2020 season-opening win: «It’s great to finally be racing again.  INDYCAR did an excellent job in developing a way to return to the track, and our HPD race team excelled in adapting to these new procedures.  Scott Dixon proved once again why he is a five-time INDYCAR champion, and Felix Rosenqvist matched him move for move until his unfortunate crash.  Congratulations to Scott and the entire Ganassi team on a well-deserved win.»

TEL AVIV, Israel, June 6, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — GAC MOTOR recently completed the first overseas delivery of its all-electric vehicle, the GE3 SUV. Yakov Ben Hion, the first international GE3 owner, is a technology enthusiast and environmentalist. He believes that a car as a means of transportation, not only solve the problem of travel but are also a lifestyle choice.

GAC MOTOR’s first international GE3 owner Mr. Ben Hion picked up his car

«I believe GE3 will be a big hit here and many people are very interested in it. It is a great honor to be the first person to own this car,» said Mr. Ben Hion

As an environmentalist, Mr. Ben Hion has always wanted to own an electric car. He was attracted by the exterior design of the GE3 when he first saw it advertised on social media. The background of GAC MOTOR as a car manufacturer with rich experience and its partnership with the Union Group, one of Israel’s largest car dealerships, reassured him. He came to a local dealership to get a closer look at the GE3 and had a test drive. Both the exterior outlines and the interior design exceeded his expectations.

«The first time I saw it in the showroom, I was amazed! The car is full of innovations using the latest technology. The starting speed is breakneck, and the driving process is quiet and smooth,» Mr. Ben Hion said with excitement. «The endurance of the GE3 is very stable. It has travelled 380 kilometers on latest charge.»

As the first GE3 on the streets of Israel, it has turned heads wherever it goes and always is the center of attention.

The GE3 was launched in February this year and is GAC’s first all-electric vehicle model launched overseas. The launch attracted the attention of several well-known local automotive media, one of which commented, «The texture of all GAC MOTOR models, the modernity of the exterior design, the high quality of the interior design and various advanced configurations have left a deep impression on the people.»

Devoted to introducing elements of technological and high-end intelligent manufacturing to its assembly line and vehicles, the automaker has also launched other all-electric vehicles models such as the Aion S and Aion LX. Following the international launch of the GE3, GAC MOTOR will actively expand its electric vehicle market globally. This allows more consumers to recognize and perceive the world-class strength of the GAC MOTOR brands and products and continue to create a pleasant mobile life for global consumers.

All of that guidance and support from Cowell will be put to good use as Lil Eddie plans to release a number of new tracks later this year. He said, «Ive got so much new music to come, I can’t wait for it to be released!»

Compassion & Choices Makes History: Collaborates With ‘Ventanillas de Salud’ During COVID-19 Crisis to Educate Immigrant Families About End-of-Life Care Options

LOS ANGELES, June 5, 2020 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ — Compassion & Choices today announced a historic collaboration with the Ventanillas de Salud (Windows of Health) network to launch a bilingual educational campaign during the COVID-19 crisis to inform U.S.-based Mexican immigrants about their full range of end-of-life care options.

Ventanillas de Salud is a national health outreach program implemented by the Mexican Consulate’s secretary of foreign affairs and the secretary of health of Mexico. The initiative serves over one million individuals and their families located in cities with a high concentration of immigrants, including Albuquerque, Austin, Boston, Boise, Brownsville (Texas), Chicago, Denver, Detroit, El Paso, Houston, Laredo, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, New Orleans, New York, Orlando, Sacramento, San Diego, Santa Ana, San Juan, Presidio (Texas), Seattle, among others. The goal is to reduce the disparities in end-of-life planning and healthcare that negatively impact the Mexican community living in the United States.

As part of the campaign, consular and Ventanilla de Salud officials this week launched a series of webinars to further inform their team that treats sensitive cases during the pandemic.

«We are very grateful to Ventanillas de Salud for helping us reach Mexican families living in the United States to ensure they are aware of the full range of end-of-life care options,» said Kim Callinan, president and CEO of Compassion & Choices. «The COVID-19 pandemic has created a far greater awareness of the importance of end-of-life care conversations that involve la familia

The historic collaboration is especially timely since a disproportionate number of Hispanics are dying from COVID-19 in the United States. In fact, 25% of coronavirus deaths are among Latinos, a group that makes up 18% of the U.S. population. The Latino community is less likely than whites to have health insurance, which reduces their ability and willingness to seek treatment.

The collaboration was launched Wednesday during a webinar titled: Healthcare in the COVID-19 Era. See webinar at https://youtu.be/S03Wv8KAbuw

«I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our allies at Compassion & Choices for their outstanding generosity in coordinating this activity which is so important for us,» said Ambassador Iván Sierra, executive director of Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior or Institute of Mexicans Abroad. «We have seen an enormous concern because our colleagues in the consulates, in recent months, have had to face loss of life within the community. Our team in Mexico City wants to put our grain of sand so that these tools reach you.»

«This first-time collaboration with Compassion & Choices will help us guide Mexicans living in the United States to make informed decisions about end-of-life care,» said Josana Tonda Salcedo, national coordinator for Ventanillas de Salud. «This pandemic makes it urgent for us to discuss with our loved ones what we want in case we get a deadly case of coronavirus or another life-shortening disease.»

More than 160 members of Ventanillas de Salud, Community Affairs and Protection representatives from the Mexican Consular network attended the 90-minute virtual training led by Compassion & Choices, where they learned about the free online bilingual COVID-19 toolkit available at CompassionAndChoices.org

Participants from all over the country, including Albuquerque, Boston, Boise, Brownsville (Tex.), Chicago, Denver, Detroit, El Paso, Miami, Milwaukee, Minnesota, New York, San Diego, Santa Ana, and Seattle, also discussed the End-of-Life Decisions Guide Toolkit available in English and Spanish. This simple resource includes the documents necessary to fill out an advance directive, which clearly details an individual’s care wishes for the end of life, so that family members are not left with the difficult task of guessing what a person wants when they cannot speak or make these decisions for themselves.  As part of the campaign, Mexican officials will conduct a series of webinars to «strengthen the capacities» of consular and Ventanillas de Salud teams that are treating sensitive cases during the pandemic.

The collaboration is possible thanks to the initiative of the Secretariat for North America of the Secretariat of Foreign Relations of Mexico, with the support of its General Directorates, the Institute of Mexicans Abroad, the Ministry of Health and the Mexican section of the Mexico-United States Border Health Commission.

«The historic collaboration with Ventanillas de Salud will help us reach Mexican immigrant communities with vulnerable populations,» said María Otero, national constituency manager for Compassion & Choices. «We are living very difficult times, and we must ensure that Mexican immigrant families are well informed about their care options at the end of life.»

Hispanics also are less likely than whites to complete advance directives or discuss with their loved ones under which circumstances, if any, they want to receive medical interventions to prolong their life or dying process. Hispanic seniors also have little knowledge about their end-of-life care options and are far less likely than whites to enroll in hospice, according to a report published by the American Hospice Association.

«But these disparities that impact Latinos are something we can control, by communicating with our doctors and loved ones ahead of time about whether we would want to be kept alive with aggressive treatments if we become too sick to speak for ourselves,» added Callinan. «An advance directive is something every person should complete. It can be a great source of relief for your family. It is — literally — a gift to your loved ones.»
