The Emerging Leader Abie Award in Honor of Denice Denton recognizes a junior faculty member for high-quality research and significant positive impact on diversity. The award honors the life and career of Professor Denice Denton (1959 – 2006), an engineering faculty member and the first female dean of a school of engineering in a major U.S. research university who worked throughout her life to give minorities a voice and support diversity in higher education. The 2020 Emerging Leader Award Winner is Dr. Olga Russakovsky for fighting bias in Artificial Intelligence through research and mentorship.

The Student of Vision Abie Award honors an undergraduate or graduate student dedicated to creating a future where the people who imagine and build technology mirror the people and societies for which they build it. This student is passionate about impactful technologies and inspires others to help build them. Originally comprised of Cumberland and Hoke Counties, this change has increased the total Fayetteville MSA population to 526,719, up by nearly 30%. According to the U.S Census, Fayetteville is now ranked as the 108th largest MSA in the U.S.

An MSA is a geographical zone with an urban center of 50,000 residents or more, that has close economic ties throughout the adjacent counties. The OMB determines MSA size and mandates that each member county show 25% more of economic integration with the urban center. Increasing an MSA size can position a community to receive additional federal funding, increase the amount of economic information developed by private and non-profit statistical agencies, and raise the visibility for national or multi-state site selection searches.

En la clase GTD, Mario Farnbacher superó una salida de pista en la penúltima vuelta de la competencia de dos horas y cuarenta minutos, y terminó segundo con el copiloto, Matt McMurry, en su Acura NSX GT3 Evo de Meyer Shank Racing.

Acura Team Penske
En la categoría principal Daytona Prototype International, el dúo de Taylor y Castroneves, del Acura Team Penske, obtuvo su primera victoria en la temporada 2020 llegando desde atrás, pues Castroneves pasó al Cadillac de Renger van der Zande en los 10 minutos finales de la carrera. Ya en la vanguardia, Castroneves abrió rápidamente un liderazgo de medio segundo y se mantuvo mientras volvían las fuertes lluvias y la carrera terminaba bajo bandera amarilla.

La cuarta carrera de la temporada IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship comenzó con un cielo parcialmente nublado y se mantuvo seca los primeros 90 minutos. Taylor partió desde la pole y mantuvo un liderazgo temprano de poco más de tres segundos, mientras que Dale Cameron, en el ARX-05 número 6 del Acura Team Penske, disputaba el segundo lugar con el Mazda de Harry Tincknell.

The Electrical and Electronic Systems Technology program was introduced at the campus earlier this year.

The «A RAD Coloring Project» features replicas of a selection of the existing large-scale murals in the RAD as coloring pages. In addition to these programs, RAD is launching a series of online demonstrations and workshops on the art of mural-making, collaborating with the Napa Valley Vine Trail on a photo scavenger hunt for all ages, and in a project sponsored by the Downtown Napa Association and the City of Napa, wrapping 13 utility boxes with artworks by Napa artists.

RAD Napa can be enjoyed on foot or by bike along the Napa Valley Vine Trail starting near the intersection of Soscol Avenue and Vallejo Streets in downtown Napa and ending at Redwood Road and California Street.
